This is whatever the "biggest' weapon you have fitted is... so if you don't fit a light weapon that becomes your sidearm. Again, it's silly to ignore the warbarge. You just click 'Claim' on the mobile factory to receive components or get some post-match or from strongboxes for free. Then dump those components into the damage subsystem.
