Honestly, the DK market is either going to be over-powered or it's going to fall flat on it's face. There are two reasons for this:
DK can only be gained through selling clones and actively winning/losing PC battles. While that is great for exclusive stuff like SKINs, it makes it really impractical for normal items.
If I have a fit that is primarily ISK but the gun is bought with DK, when I run out, I'll have to make a duplicate copy of that suit in my fitting's list or not be able to restock it. So from a fitting standpoint, the DK system is suboptimal unless you have great wealths of the stuff (which is unlikely if we get only 500 from a win, 200 from a loss, and 90*Clone*Districts / Corp Members).
Furthermore, if the DK market is a copy of the ISK market (as far as item availability) than it will de-value the DK system dramatically as players will still prefer to use ISK over DK simply from a quantity standpoint. ISK is more readily available than DK.
In that case, it will likely fall flat on it's face. The only way DK will be fundamentally valuable, given the limitations with how it is attained, is if the DK market provides exclusive content that you can't get anywhere else (like FW does with LP Faction SKINs, APEX suits, and Specialist gear). That becomes problematic though as it then turns PC, as Kain Spero describes, into a positive feedback loop - PC rewards you with powerful gear with which you will inevitable use to run PC.
So, while I thoroughly love the Command Point system and how it encourages player activity for PC corps to do things, I think the DK system will be stupid OP, fundamentally useless, or used primarily for cosmetics which will lower interest.

It's a bit early for such a doom and gloom forecast. I'm cautiously optimistic, but we'll see. If it's as big of a failure as you're predicting there's nothing saying it can't be fixed in the future.
If you only got "doom and gloom forecast" and "big of a failure as predicting" from than then I kindly suggest re-reading the post. For realsies. This isn't like, "Huuur this feature is awful no matter what" it's simply saying that it is very, VERY easy to get wrong and we really need to take into account those universal considerations. This isn't Aeon Amadi's opinion, this is sort of a baseline fact. Players primarily don't use Aurum/LP items unless it's to bridge a gap in their skill-set because it is too difficult to accrue LP and reliably restock items. This isn't a new problem, this has been frequently mentioned, and likely will be the same with DK unless they are made plentiful.
