Because the system is so glitched. Half of the time I don't even get dem dam assists.

that's what I found, the game forgets very quickly that you've shot someone and sometimes it doesn't even register. |

After you shot the enemy you will get kill assist if that enemy dies within next 10 seconds.
I recomend you domination on NA server.
There are perfect conditions to score assists.

Try moving in packs with other people and also use a standard or militia gun. That helped me get the assists in 2 days. Also, if you're skilled into them use mass drivers or flaylock pistols (but only splash damage)

Shoot everything that moves. If you know that your team is about to drop a warbarge strike on a group of redberries that you can see start spraying bullets at every redberry in that group; I always do this for easy kill assists WPs.
Also, trying playing Acquisition. Acquisition can be a straight up slaughter sometimes so it is pretty easy to get kill assists in that gamemode. |

I get kill assists very easily with an ADS. Surprisingly more common than any other method. I have only been able to finish the kill assist while in a vehicle mission that way.

I just ran around with my seraph logi randomly spraying it's AScR and repairing people. In one good match on the gal lag facility I was able to rack up 19 assists through random AScR fire and flux nades while leaching guardian points off the heavies who were doing the killing.

I help so many people with assists, because i sometimes randomly shotgun a guy that was being shot at. I don't kill steal...

10 secs? more like 2 for me.
also alot of the time i stop shooting let someone else finish them and i magically still get the kill.
assists is hard..

If this was true then that would explain how my fluxes and AScR were so good for me at getting assists. No regen left equals better chance of assist. I always thought it was based on if the person repaired off your damage but it is hard to say.

For the next event:
Lose 250 clones.
Lose 5 battles in a row.
Spend one entire match in the MCC.
Earn less than 25 warpoints in a complete battle.
This would be just as good as installation kills and kill assists.

Two factors cut off an assist, shield regen and only the last 2 who damaged a person can get the assist when someone is killed

Im not sure how it chooses the two people but I have gotten assists on people that 5 - 6 people were all shooting and I did absolutely the minimum damage possible because they went down so fast. I always assumed anyone that did damage that did not get repaired away got the points.
