I refuse to accept that answer about Pokemon.
Pokemon was huge during the youth of the 90's kids and I've never met someone my age who couldn't and didn't love to belt out the original pokemon theme song.

Hmmmm you make a valid point...but Pokemon is Pokemon...... it transcends cultural boundaries bringing up all closer together via the power of love and forcing wild animals to fight in brutal gladiatorial combat.

I was born in 1995. I haven't played any Pok+¬mon game until I was in my senior year in high-school, which was 2013. The one I played was Emerald.
My youth consisted of the NES with Duck Hunt and Contra. I got to the 5th level without the Konami Code!
