I understand the incentive to want to make money, giving away tons of boxes means people potentially buying tons of keys, but I just cant stand the red circle around my market icon, please let me just sell these strongboxes for 1 isk each to get rid of them! |

That little circle is 100% meant to be there and never disappear. It's psychology. It causes many people to feel like that have something left to do. They know the only way to be rid of the little circle is to purchase AUR.
Same deal with the little circle that appears when you don't have boosters activated.
"Hey, you know you still have strongboxes? Just letting you know... you know how to open them right? Keys. Hey, in case you forgot since last match, you don't have boosters active. You know it's only a couple bucks to activate some boosters, right? Oh, and you still have strongboxes to open..."
It's manipulative and a sign that a game is terribad when a company has to rely on these tactics to make money.

With the lore of ransoming them back to the owner 100k would be good but I have 1000 and many people have more.
100k x 1000 = 100 000 000
50k x 1000 = 50 000 000
25k x 1000 = 25 000 000
One of those would be good.

Why? If you don't have the key for them then just IGNORE them . I've got around 3000 and I don't care about them

If anything, I want them gone to free up memory. I'm positive that many strongboxes with various items inside contribute to lag.
