Like a few others I've dumped points (seems needlessly) into the faster reload skill. At level 3, I know it's only 6%, but I'd like to at least notice a slight difference. I could see them being upped to 5% per level, without it making it overpowered, yet giving and edge against a player without the skill to as high a level as you have it.
At level 5, right now it would give 10% At level 5 with my recommendation, it would max out at 25%
10% of 3 second reload = 0.3 seconds faster. Who are we kidding? That doesn't really matter. 25% of 3 second reload = 0.75 seconds faster. Much better, but not overpowering.
At the very least, increase it to 3% per skill point, totaling at 15% at level 5. (0.45 seconds faster)
For heavy weapons, I would expect the faster reloads to be much more "Overpowering", so I suggest going with 25% (rank 5) for secondary and light weapons, and 15% to heavy weapons. This will prevent HMG heavies from getting a massive 2 second decrease on the reload timer. Thoughts, comments, other suggestions? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has found this skill to be extremely lackluster. |

Bumped back to first page. Thought seriously, more people would have had an issue with this. |

Yeah I have to agree with you. Part of this I think stems from the fact that these increase percentages are exactly the same as they are in Eve. The difference is that in Dust we are dealing with much smaller numbers. In Eve a 3% damage increase is actually a lot because 3% of 600 per level is a noticeable difference.
Put it this way maybe. The average heavy drop suit has over 1000hp of armour. There are ships in Eve with a similar amount but the guns you are shooting in Eve do much more damage per second so when you get the increase you notice it. I think a jump from 3 to 5% is totally reasonable for damage and reload times. |

5% on lights would work for me just fine. Even 4% would be good. |

at level 5 there is reload proficiency, which ups it by 3% each level, meaning if you max both, you get 25% faster reload speed.
Just depends on how badly you want it :D |

I've just recently gotten mine to level 4, hadn't thought to get it to 5 and check for a prof. skill like the actual weapon skills (assault rifle/sniper rifle/shotgun/etc) but that makes sense. Still, is a HUGE dump of skillpoints. Besides, if the skills do exactly the same thing, just different percentages, why not lump them together, increase the multiplier to compensate? |
