You know how swarms are a bit op on dropships? Yet they are good, maybe a little op/up (depending on situation) against tanks?
How about this.
What is we change the swarms speed so that it's faster the first couple of seconds, and slower after.
The swarm will be faster then currently, then it will slow down, slower than what it now, till the swarm dies off.
This will be a buff against those double hardened/repped maddies, and a nerf against the weak af ads and sorta good ds.
Any thoughts?
Extra- the assault swarm launcher- BUFF IT. Lower damage(500ish) increase ROF, ammo, increase reticule sight, and swarms speed. TAKE AWAY THE DOUBLE LOCK.

Or make it to do less damage on LAVs and DSs, like this:
LAVs (40% efficiency to shields) DSs (60% efficiency to shields) HAVs (80% efficiency to shields)
To armor, just add 40%.

I agree with the premise, but I think that any true fix will probably require a number of different solutions.
That being said, I have no opinion on the suggestion as I think I would have to see it in action to really get all the repercussions.

To armor, just add 40%. Real-life logic behind it: a warhead designed to get through heavy tank armor (thanks to playing war thunder for a while, an example is an APCR round) doesn't have any explosives behind it, so it would just punch a hole through a more lightly armored vehicle.
An alternative solution would be, as I suggested in beta, having multiple types of swarms. One with a lot of missiles, better tracking, and worse DPS aimed for dropships, the other with less missiles, poor tracking, and high DPS for HAVs

It's been mentioned a billion times, but a flare module would be nice. To make it easy, the higher the tier of the mod, the more missiles it negates, and the higher the tier of the swarm, the less the negating effect is applied, so-
Basic Flare vs Basic Swarm= 1 missile negated Proto Flare vs Proto Swarm= Still only 1 missile negated
What about everything in between? And what should happen if the Swarm is higher tiered than the Flare? I have no idea, I'm just theory crafting.
Maybe introduce a Chaff module as well? It could either slightly reduce the lock on range of a SL (would not effect a volley that has already been fired), or maybe scramble any missiles that have been fired and pass through the Chaff cloud. If the latter was the case, any Swarms fired at your butt as you flew away would be scrambled, but any launches from you left, right, or front would not be effected, as they would not be passing through the Chaff.
