If you are learning I suggest you get a gorgon and slap some basic armor plates on it .
I also recommend a youtube because it shows you how the controls actually do the ship

It's not fittings related, but flying definitely benefits from running with a squad whether or not you choose to utilize gunners. Situational awareness is supremely important (just as with everything in Dust), and the ability to get Intel from all around the battlefield works wonders.
The other thing I would recommend is to remember that not every match is conducive to dropships, for one reason or another. Sometimes it's best to stay on the ground. Unless your finances are in order and you can easily afford losses.
I'm just getting back into the game myself, and I'm not "in the know" about what works and what doesn't, but I originally learned to fly by sticking a scanner and as much armor as possible on whatever dropships were available to me at the time. I'd run with a squad and make speed runs, low and fast. It got me some WP while I learned to fly, and let me refine my ability to fly low and fast.
Currently working my way towards getting back in the sky (I missed that more than anything else in Dust). Good luck up there, it's funner than hell. |
