Earlier, I was in a match on I believe the Biomass (?) map, and at the final B location, the enemies were covering the inside spawn locations with remote explosives, and just spawn-camped anybody that showed up (there isn't a huge amount of variation in spawns at that area it seems, mostly in that one isolated curved hallway thing). There was nothing you could do (sure, you could spawn somewhere entirely different), you had about 2 seconds of being alive and then insta-killed, and then they'd just run back and place more. I don't know what you could do to combat it, spawn protection (which we kinda need, as much as I love loading in at 30% health while someone's railing me in the back before I can see, but then they'd just set the explosives off slightly later), detonate nearby explosives at zero damage when someone spawns in within a certain radius (serves them right for using them like a jerk)?
Surely, this can't be working as intended. |

I was doing this, and judging by the timing of the post, there is a fair chance that it was me popping you.
However, it does need to be addressed. I'm not sure how though. Maybe do something like in eve where you load cloaked and stay cloaked for a short time. But maybe, have it de-cloak you after you've moved a certain amount rather than the second you move.

I was in a similar position, although on the map I was part of the defending team, and what had happened is that all the "clone capture points*?" at the second portion of the map were under the attackers control or had been destroyed, and the points A, B, and C had been captured by the attackers and there were only to spawn locations to choose from which were covered by the enemy just by sheer force and not explosives. It was at the end of the game, granted, but it was still somewhat unfair to be camped by the enemy and getting mowed down with bullets as you tried to spawn.
As for solutions, I personally wouldn't like a spawn protection, such as a 5 second "god mode", that would make it unfair to the team that has gained an advantage. The cloak idea seems good, but again a little unfair. Perhaps spawn areas that rotate or circulate so that they wouldn't be able to know your exact spawn location. |

3 second invulnerability/cloak (both) would solve it. 2 seconds to let your screen stop being black with 1 second left to run/orient yourself and return fire. |

3-5 seconds of invincibility but not being able to use any weapons either, maybe. Give you enough time to get your head around what is happening in the immediate area and just enough time to either run or prep yourself for oncoming fire/dishing out damage. |

I would like to have an option to be dropped off from the cestus it self -> We are in dropsuits after all.. Therefore spawn camping would not be so easy. |

Spawn camping need to be addressed asap, for instance having an enemy heavy with a heavy machine gun camping the spawnpoint behind C on the Biomass map is nearly impossible to counter unless you spawn far away, and get lucky.
Devs have said that the fact that spawns pop up at exactly the same spot is a bug. I'd have thought abusing this bug to camp spawn points would constitute an exploit. |
