I recently purchased a Balac's SMG and am looking to sell it. The item has a 0% drop rate and was given away as a tournament prize a couple years back. I'm open to a mass trade of Ghalag's BPs or Frame's/Balac's ck.0 suits, but I'm asking 25 million ISK. I'm willing to negotiate and I'm willing to do ISK/Gear trades, but I won't go too much lower.
This post is in Player Trading as well, but I wanted to get this out to as many people as possible.
For all of you bitching about shields being bad, you're doing it wrong. HP tank the hell out of your Cal suit. Trust me.

About a point and a half less than the Cala's SMG.
BUT it has slightly lower fitting cost than the other officer SMGs.
Although, I just keep mine sitting in my assets. I don't have a ton to burn through.
They're mostly just collector's items.

1. You were the winner, or runner-up in the closed beta tournament. So it means you were part of one of these corporations: Seraphim Initiative. or Imperfects.

Eh.
He's a really good player nonetheless.
Either way, both the Balac's SMG and Balac's Sniper are few and far in between.
I'm not skilled into Snipers, but it looks nice. Crap stats though.
Fair warning: If I see either of these weapons in the killfeed, I'm hunting that person in my Balac's suit.

I left the game right after I got the kill. I ran into the redline and left battle like a *****. But I was NOT willing to lose my investment. I'm sure I can find a buyer. I'll talk to Hadah, he'll probably be interested at the very least.

Go into the State Task Force chat.
There are Caldarians willing to buy it. Simply because it's a Balac weapon -- which is odd since it's a Minmatar weapon, part of a Caldari suit, with a Caldari weapon (sniper) and Gallentean one (assault rifle), but he's originally Minmatar.
If I were selfish, I'd buy it to add to my collection, but I have enough... Those things are great to have if you're a fan.
And I know I was running around in a full Balac suit (Balac's ck.0, Balac's AR, Balac's SMG) getting kills. Then I was like "Cool, gonna switch out at a depot". As I switch out, three seconds later I die to a Thale sniper. Lol.
I didn't die in the Balac's ck.0, but I hunted him mercilessly because it was a great annoyance.

State Task Force is a CFW chat, right? Now that I'm a Cal Loyalist (My K/D went up .09 in just over 2 weeks because ck.0 is OP as hell), I need a CFW chat. I ran a GFW yesterday just for some specialist SG's, but otherwise, I need some Cal points desperately

Correct. State Task Force is a Caldari FW chat only.
The Assault ck.0 is effective since it doesn't rely on any other variables to be effective. Great solo suit. But it isn't OP due to shields being subpar.
It was my first suit since Uprising 1.0... I can only get better with it, and I've been extremely effective with it.
But yeah. Join STF for Caldari FW.
I know I get 5.2K LP per victory -- and 1K LP for a loss.

I just HP tank my Cal suit and it's an even better solo suit. After running armor based suits with less that 25 reps/sec for almost a year and a half, the 30 reps/sec at a slight delay is great. It means I can just HP tank it and still feel that it's better than armor

I know that it makes Cal users cringe, but coming from an armor tanker, that fit is faster than I'm used to, has more resistance to CRs/RRs than I'm used too, has a better solo capability than I'm used to...
I mean, if I can go from a .54 to a .63 K/D in 16 days, I'll give up my Logi for good. It sank my K/D, and this fit is digging me out of the hole. Unfortunately, I've spent all my ISK on it. Gone through 35 mil because when I have a good game, I can't stop running proto (I had a 45/16/9 Melee only game. I lost almost 2 mil). The fits aren't classic Caldari suits in the slightest, but I don't feel like shields are gimped at all when running this fit.
Dual Tanking on Cal suits isn't a sin. Try it out and stop saying shields are gimped.

Not saying don't dual tank them, I've tried that method in the past, and the regen build works better for me, personally.
That way I have full use of my mobility and my shields rep at 50 hp/s or more, so I have more shield hp for the next engagement.
If you have $5 buy the Caldari combat pack. You'll get your money's worth.

Slight correction to number 2...
1st place got their choice of 1 weapon (any officer weapon in the game), and they would receive 15 of that weapon
2nd place " " 10 of that weapon
3rd place " " 5 of that weapon
1st place was 0uter Heaven A-Team: Radar R4D-47, Reiselia, 1st Lieutenant Tiberius, rexero, Whataguy TTU, and Delta Blitzkrieg II
2nd place was... Dust Brasil I think...? I don't remember, but it as a South American corp who had a silly easy schedule
3rd place was A.N.O.N.Y.M.O.U.S's MOLDEN HEATH NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH (if you remember who it was making fun of, +1 to you): J0lly R0g3r, State Property, Harlequin 13, Egypt Musk, Preston D 2, and myself
So... unless you were a member of one of those 3 6 man squads, or a member of the ORIGINAL Imperfects (got 50 per member of the smg, sniper, and suit) and Seraphim Initiative (got 25 per member of the smg, sniper, and suit), then you got yours through trade only.

All of this was before my time, and I only knew the details of the closed beta event, not the squad cup. I thought everyone received 10 of each weapon.
