I am unable to communicate with them and frequently see them do incredibly silly things, or resort to lowest common denominator things.
I am not saying that they are all bad or stupid (Hoopie Yaepie or however it's spelled, I cannot remember, is an etymologist for example), but I have always had issues with 'lowest common denominator' tactics and language barriers only further exacerbate things.
That said I joined a francophone squad in squad finder the other day and enjoyed the hell out of myself, largely because I didn't have to listen to other peoples inane bullshit and ridiculous machismo ("I am best snipar evar, I beat story mode of x game on easy with only sniper rifle" type crap), nor did I find myself having to tell people why they are dead wrong about certain things ("heavies have lower turn speeds" "the best cal scout fit is 4 precision amps and 2 range amps" etc).

I would say its a gross thing to hear among a vast majority of players in the game I tend to unfortunately share the same chat channels with. It goes pass the frustration of being bested by an opponent, to a pure personal attack on a person unjustly. I am not surprised by this thread, but I am surprised and quite happy that this is finally being addressed in the english-speaking section of our forums to raise awareness. I myself have been subjected to hate mail filled will racial slurs and derogatory statements from players who I happen to beat legitimately in public/ pc matches. It comes to a point when these toxic players need to stop and realize to themselves "Why does real life race/nationality have anything to do with playing a game that both parties thoroughly enjoy"?
Don't bring that crap into a video game. There is enough hate in the real world already.

Been trying to make a post without sounding like a d*ck for the past 20 minutes so here I go.
There is a difference between real racism and video game political jabs.
In EVE while i was in Sov space and fighting against the "Evil Russians" for years while being born and raised in Russia myself. There are constant jokes about the Russian community in alliance comms and chat but what am i suppose to take all this personally? They are just political jokes to have fun at other expense.
While in Dust i know people who have been fighting against some of the Hispanic community in the past few months and used jabs like "TacoNet" and "TacoMerge" as political jokes to angry the opposite side. At the same time these same people squad up on a daily basis and accept Hispanic members into their corporations.
Now unless there are people out there that are messaging the Hispanic community such message as "I am going to find out where you live and kill you for being Mexican." I also do not see corp putting in their description "No Spanish speaking players allowed" or "white players only" if that is happen sure that is kind of big but I have not seen it. I think people should not take small racial jokes so seriously.
I'll agree it is not what should be happening in a perfect world but it is also nothing devastating they are just jokes and jabs.
Vote Viktor Hadah for CPM2 or i'll hurt you.

For real man. I try to hold the people I play with to a higher standard and you've probably heard me get on to people about using stuff like "Mexicans" and "Japs" when they refer to other players. It is discouraging.
You're a pretty chill dude for putting up with it either way, so thanks for that patience.
On a side note, something that intrigues me is that the game Rust for PC recently caused a -lot- of controversy when they implemented Skin Tones to the character models in the game but didn't allow the player to choose what color their skin was. It is linked to your Steam ID so you basically have to buy the game over again if you want to change your skin tone and there is something like 50 different skin colors. People instantly went off the handle saying that it was 'forced racism' and what not and there are all sorts of stories about how people are placating it in-game through virtual racism.
That sort of thing just goes to show how screwy humanity is.

Being Mexican, you do not know how much it annoys me when latin people get generalized into "Those damn mexicans". Especially when it's mostly people from south america, I mean FFS it's not even the same continent.

Its same everywhere, you basicaly have normal people and ignorance. Its same like czech, slovak or polish boykos stated like russians. Or austrian guys named like germans.
Its everywhere but i just see it like ignorance of people, not like racism or xenophobia. And to be honest i respect people for what they are do/did not for nation/race/nationality etc.
