Bad FPS.
When I pilot a vehicle (specifically an ADS) I notice a distinct drop in framerate. I can only assume that this is because when I'm flying all around the map, much more of the map has to be rendered. Sometimes this can make the framerate unplayable. I don't know what can be done about it, but I want to know if you other pilots also experience this.
The low framerate will continue even after you leave the vehicle.
I have experienced this but I don't think its the ADS that is the problem as I have noticed that the frame rate drops only happen in already laggy battles or close to certain structures such as cities and when playing against certain corps or squads
the only lag I currently experience is battle lag where you are either are getting shot at or trying to kill someone and the game freezes for a few seconds but goes back right to normal afterwords |

But when there are lags during a battle, I get more lags when flying. Fg. Gall lag lab. Once I fly over the town, I suffer 2 times stronger lags. I also get the worst lag when flying on that map. Maybe it should be removed from circulation all together. It's a really cool map when it works properly, but it's laggy way too much to justify keeping it in circulation.
I actually have noticed that I don't lag quite as much as people make it out to be, however I have noticed that many people go full on proto in this map to take advantage of the "lag" which leads me to believe that they are the problem as they seem dumb enough to stand in one spot and take aim as if they don't have to worry about getting shot
this brings me to another point, whenever people use full auto weaponry and or explosives in constant succession if you get near them you tend to lag more or get lower frame rates then when you are far away |

have you tried turning it off and on? in this case this actually helps in long sessions of gaming or if you just happen to leave your ps3 on for a long time
reinstalling the game helps
clearing chats and mail/contacts
fixing settings in game and console
SSD may help but is not necessary
cleaning your console every so often is a must to keep it running smoothly for longer, pressurized air works fine you don't have to open up the console |
