Flaylocks are not artillery cannons, they are essentially explosive gyroget rockets. Combat rifles are not autocannons. Mass drivers are not artillery weapons, they are grenade launchers and once again they are using other racial prefixes to them to indicate how they would perform if made by other races. Hmg's are I belive in their description an autocannon, but they are called machine guns because of machined rotary drive on their barrel, technically the current standard variant should be labeled assault, the burst should be the standard and the current assault should be the breach. Other than that, your naming scheme is stupid, inaccurate/outright wrong and way too focused on how eve does it (yes taking inspiration from eve is good, painting yourself into a corner "BECAUSE EVE DOES IT THIS WAY" is ridiculously bad). Not only are you killing flavor and uniqueness, you aren't even accurate in the base descriptions of the weapons and there is severe word bloat ("breach smg" -> "SMALL RAPID MULTI-WORDED KICKASS DAKKA SEIGE CANNON THING"). Unfortunately, artillery deals relatively little damage over time due to a low rate of fire, have low tracking speeds, and are often difficult to fit due to high powergrid requirements." this may be talking about the turrets for ships but it pretty much is the same concept for our weapons. and no im not completely wrong in the naming of them but in context, yes i am right that they are similarly autocannons and artillery cannons. the mass driver is a type of artillery, if you didnt know that, even though it uses grenades, it can be fire across long ranges and just like artillery cannons, it fires at a slower rate and does little damage over time compared to other weapons. combat rifles and SMG's are very much like auto cannons. they are low tech but very effective weapons that shoot projectile based rounds at short to medium ranges.
