I, as I am sure it is with alot of people, am not happy with the name I chose in the beginning. Something that would not be hard to implement, would be a name changer that would cost aurum. Say 10,000 aur. That would stop trolls from changing constantly, and people like me who are seriously not happy with the name we registered with can make the minor adjustment. After all, if we can respec our entire skill tree, why not our name?

CCP wouldn't do it unless they did it in eve first, which isn't likely to happen. Sorry.
There is a reason you never see me in battle.
it's because I see you first.

This is actually on the list of things forbidden.
That is because your name, your acts, your words and most importantly, what people know you will do are what define your place in new eden meta.
But it's the name people remember. If I can shed my name I can repeatedly run AWOX ops on a tryhard corps PC operations and switch myself on the roster in a larger corp or re-apply and rejoin without a lot of fuss.
Since the flying falcon screwover is an acceptable action in new eden, the ability to remember a name is often all that stands between safety and someone like me dropping a tank on your corp as a blue without warning.
CCP refuses to allow name changes to keep people from casually escaping the consequences of their actions.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

Nope, if you are a well known scammer you shall not get a second chance to hide your sorry bum behind a new name. You scam once, you screw over a corp and you will have to live with the consequence. So no to name change.

I would be OK with a name change option, as long as all former names are listed in the Show Info screen for your character.
Checking for name changes would become as standard practice as checking Corp history when doing a background check.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

I approve of this name. I expect you to live up to it.
