So, about two weeks ago, in the ramp up to this last set of mass attacks, there was a thread post stating that these attacks would be funded from sales of items gained from strongboxes/keys which were being purchased with AUR. Another later post floated out a figure of about 400Million isk having been spent on those clonepacks to do the attacks with. So, my question is twofold:
1) How much actual money, RL cash-munny, was spent in the last couple weeks on the AUR for those boxes/keys?
and
2) Since its of general agreement that the attacks were cataclysmic failures does that spending (if it happened that way) now prove the point that DUST514 is NOT a "Pay-to-Win" game?

It's clearly NOT pay to win if you pay and don't win.

Myself personally? No. I determined that pre-Uprising. But as an opportunity to ask when "purchasing power" was being organically applied as to the overall cost and benefit it seems worth asking. And depending on the answer moving forward from there. There's little "debate" but read the forums/talk to people enough and you'll see/hear it said, that DUST is P2W, so if we have a clear example of it not then that example is worth documenting and being part of the history.

what happened to ur corp? and all I know is that Rust wanted their districts back and the had GAM and thier alliance attack Cap Aq to bring clones down, Cobra and his alliance attack as well ( hes the one that wasted about 400m in attacks) then Rust would come and take the districts.. But like I had told GAM, If Cap and OH hold that many districts its because they can defend them.

Bro, this game is difinitely not a pay to win game.
I've only bought 2 modded controllers, 3 SSD drives and 600k aur since I started playing. And Im still complete garbage. Just look at Frost kitty or Kalente, its not as if they did the same thing... Why would it even cross your mind...?
(I guess the tac AR gave it up..)

I'm on nomad, been almost a month, and have not been directly involved or participated in my corps' dealings/actions since leaving and all I know is that Rust wanted their districts back and the had GAM and thier alliance attack Cap Aq to bring clones down, Cobra and his alliance attack as well ( hes the one that wasted about 400m in attacks) then Rust would come and take the districts.. But like I had told GAM, If Cap and OH hold that many districts its because they can defend them. Yeah, thats basically what I observed which was why I was curious how much actual money was spent. I can only assume it was a fair amount of cash since nobody has volunteered an actual dollar amount. Considering some of the trolling that could happen I'm not too suprised but thought I'd ask anyway

So, in light of the ^ would you consider a port to PC (where huge hardware/peripheral differences exist) a step more into P2W territory?
*tore off your tear sheets to pass out.*
PS- and why 3 different ssd drives? Capacity issues or did you just not buy a good one in the first place?
