Yes. Stick with ps4 for everything else but those games. I love those games. Hence why I have an Xbox. But that's about all.

At this point in time, outside of a few first party games, all games will ultimately be cross platform.
The great majority of the games you would play will be on the PS4, and the ones that aren't you may not enjoy if your friends are on the PSN and not Microsoft.

I love gears, but the last one was disappointing. No where near as fun as 3.
I'd say go with PS4, I like the hardware and software better. I don't know how the 360 got so much right only to blow it with the one.
PS+ actually has games worth getting, though tbh it was slow from the start.

If it could be only one i'd say PS4.
It's early days yet but it looks like this generation belongs to Sony. If that trend continues, more developers will be motivated to put their products on both Xbox and playstation.
How long that will take is another question, ofc.

I got my ps4 for games, and the xbone for halo 5. Most of my friends are on live, but I rarely played with them anyways from work schedules, school, families, wives, girlfriends etc... most of us have too much real life to lock down a console so we can maybe play together once a month. We just go grab brews instead when we can lol.

Personally, I don't like either of them (They get more pointless with every generation), but if I had to choose, I would go PS4. Not a fan of the whole forced-kinect-use ****, and I'm not a Micro$oft fan either.
As far as exclusives: Halo just isn't the same anymore. I always loved doing Halo LAN parties, but it's just starting to take itself too seriously now, which isn't want the franchise is about, or at least for me. Just like the transition from GTA san andreas to GTA IV.

The only correct answer.
http://i.imgur.com/W9IWWjk.jpg
There is no reason to buy a console nowadays. You have a handful of exclusive, but so what? You have indefinitely more on PC, due to it being an open platform. In addition, PC gamers laugh at these discussions if the Xbone or PS4 has better hardware. The hardware of both consoles is something like 5 or 6 years old already. They weren't even top notch when they were released. Games like WItcher 3 have extreme frame drops on consoles. Something like down to 22 fps. You can't really call that playing anymore, unless you like playing in slow motion all the time. So why use a console for anything at all? For the same price to just a little bit more you can get a gaming PC better than everything the consoles can offer you. And in addition to that you get the games cheaper. No matter if it's a new release or if you wait for deals. PC games are always cheaper. While you pay about 60 to 80 bucks for a new console game you get the same game on PC for about 40 to 50 bucks.
Also the upgrade discussion isn't even relevant. If you want you don't ever have to upgrade your PC. Build it once and it will always be able to play games with these graphics. If upgrades were that relevant how many console players make them out to be (I have to upgrade my PC every 4 months!) then console games wouldn't work at all. Of course you can upgrade every 4 months, if you always want to play the newest games with the highest setting and 60 - 120 fps. That's something consoles can't even dream about doing. Console games max settings just stay on the same level for the entire generation.
So well. Don't ask yourself if you should buy a XBone or a PS4, ask yourself why you're not considering a PC. The handful of console exclusives is barely worth buying a whole platform for that.

Buys ps4, opens box, plugs in, plays.
For the average person, its about convenience. Not trying to figure out which plug in, or setting, or patch is needed to play for almost every game. Its simple to people who play on pc, they're used to it but consoleers aren't likely to be bothered with the extra fuss.

Buys PC, installs steam, downloads game, plays. What's the difference? Where were you the last 10 years? Heck, buy a Steambox if you want. Boots directly to Steam. There is no extra fuss you have to bother with.

its all a preference ting. im one of those gamers that dont necessarily care about graphics or fps rates, but as long as its a good game and i can play it, i dont care which console or pc i play on. but im an Xbox man so im getting an xbox in the future.

discovers pc will not play game at selected settings its either run out and buy a new 600 dollar video card or do it simple and use a console

450 pound sterling will net you a damn good rig. And because America has better price's for electronic goods ( the bastards) you probs only need about the same amount in dollars. also the constant upgrading is more of a myth. Witcher 3 looks better in low settings than it does on ps4. The 400-600 dollars mark will net you a pc that will run it at med atleast. Using witcher as an graphical example as its a beautiful and huge game

Also windows 10 is supposed to be able to play you Xbox games as well Soo if it works how I think then every xbone game I buy will also work on my laptop..for those who didn't know I was a PC gamer before console, then consoles consumed my soul..when it comes to gaming Im always top tier every game, but knowing anything about electronics is a whole other story
