All ADS should come with an after burner that takes up no CPU and PG
All Std dropships should come with a mobile cru that takes up no CPU and PG and an increase to flight speed.
All ADS pilots know that you cannot have a successful dropship or even the slightest chance at surviving unless you have an after burner. All standard dropship pilots are not being used as transport/deployment vehicles.This because they are extremely slow and adding a mCRU is too taxing. |

Actually Pythons prefer a light shield booster over an afterburner.
Anyway DS and mainly ADS need a complete revamp.
ADS should get the tank treatment (so ADS with 3 turrets, solo ADS with one turret but less ressource and tiered progression).
ADS need at least one extra slot and a good resource boost. Rigth now even with max skills you can't fit a half decent python without a PG upgrade. I WANNA TRY THAT DAMN SHIELD REGULATOR ON MY PYTHON!!!!

Actually Pythons can't prefer anything people prefer what to put on Pythons. All dropships receive a huge benefits from after burners it's pretty essential. |

I really like the idea of a built-in, Mobile CRU on the transport birds. Freely defer to the experts on whether or not that'd be balanced, but I really like the idea.

The Logistics ship has a MCRU built into it.
It was great and by itself but the thing they didn't think about is Blueberries not knowing what to do or intentionally trolling you by just sitting in the dropships. It's sad that we can't nice things just because people don't want to participate...maybe if there was an eject button....

To be honest we should be allowed to use our weapons from a dropship passanger seat. Why else could we open/close the doors by pressing X? It would aswell push it into Ratattis envisioned role that dropships are the natural counter for tanks. Plus you can allready do it in battelfield so why not?
Its not like its hard to shot down a dropship with a swarm launcher. Commandos would actually gain more importance in the game by allowing that. Just think about it that you could use your rifle vs infantry and a swarm launcher vs other vehicles. Dedicated dropship crews would become a decent role for the game

Amusingly I actually had the exact same thought, for the exact same reason, many times. However, I keep coming back to just giving each ship another secondary slot and the PG / CPU to go with it, and to let the pilot make their own choice. If they think they can make it work with no AB, then by all means they should be able to try.
That said, AB is stupidly mandatory, mostly thanks to skill-less swarms, but they're useful for evading forges and maintaining altitude over your airborne prey

I'm fine with this and I'm an anti vehicle specialist, although, the small turrets should loose some range, and the vehicles should show up on your HUD |

Avers complain about how good afterburners are on dropships (I believe my response to this was something along the lines of 'afterburners need to be good otherwise dropships are dead'). Dropships get a crippling nerf... next thing you know, dropships no longer present anymore... then hardeners also get a delay, dropships even less present.
I appreciate a lot of what rattati and his team have done for the game, but vehicles and their skill trees are so dumb it's astounding.
