Ever since beta, I have been a loyal scout. Every single game i play, that has that class, i have been a scout. Us scouts are not so much a dying breed, i have seen people new and old come to the bastard class.
For years, us scouts have had a temple, a chat channel that helped us and molded us from it's inception. But lately, that once beautiful temple has been in shambles bar some few dedicated.
I can't stand to see it in such a state, I have a desire to see it blossom back to it's former glory.
I plead with you Scouts, come back home to the chat that helped so many. True, we do have Dreis' NK chat. But SU needs to be revived. Please come home.

Scouts have been in a really good place for months now. IMO they are the best class in dust. Back when chats like SU were started, scouts were terribad. There is really not much of a need for a chat like that. You can usually find a good scout or two in squadfinder.

That may be so but it isn't the point, it was and will be a hub for scouts to talk and squad, much like Dreis' chat. It has much history backing it and really wish scouts will start flocking to it once more.

I'm in. Don't have a lot of chats, and i remember when i first got invited, felt like first day of school all over except so many good vibes.

My scout specialist never left. He's my second most-played character.
I just find the overwhelming number of Doms in pubs discouraging, and I won't touch Acq. Scouts don't work well in those meatgrinders. Skirmish for life!

Perhaps we can get squads going soon, i would love to see this place booming again. Please tell all your scout friends about the revival, spread the word as much as you can.

I really miss the Scouts of Old, though. You know who I'm seeing a bit from time to time, though? Flako. I'm kind of amused how he still uses the same greeting when in SU. I still remember when he got mad when I ScR'd him back during early 1.8(?). Ah, the butthurt was strong.

Yea, but the thing is it would not have been heard enough if it was in the Locker Room, despite me putting it in my sig.

I'm really liking my FlankBuster AmScount, I use a CRG and a BScP. The BScP is the closest thing to the ScP of old, headshots are glorious on it.

I was pretty regular besides the first few days of my inception. The first few days when i started, for the life of me i could not figure out how to get into battle, despite the clear battle tab.
I was in SU in the olden days but i didn't really say much. I stayed mostly in Atiim's Sniper channel, can't remember the name. I was a dedicated Sniper Scout until recently. I remember squadding up with Atiim and a bunch of other snipers, oh those were the days. Had a **** load of random hilarious conversations about blueberries and fatties. Man I miss that.
If you was ever in his chat i am sure you would've seen me. I wish i would've talked more in Scouts United though.

I miss the scouting days of yore. I miss being able to see everyone within 50m. Active scanners were hardly used so nobody bothered with damping their suits. I could see the everyithng.
Sure, cloaks are fun and I do NOT miss the old NK and shotgun hit detection. But it feels like scouting just isn't as fun nowadays.

Right now I myself am locked out, someone created the channel for Sontie and whoever that person was just locked everyone out. He obviously does not wish to see me revive the chat, but i will either find out who this person is or somehow find out the password. The first one is the more logical choice but we will see. I am not letting this deter me though, and when i get the chat back to local, i will start inviting people. |
