Here's the idea. Frontier mode drops two teams of mercs onto a large map. The map is filled with the usual turrets, null cannons, crus and depos, but all the power is off. They cannot be hacked.
Phase One: Acquisition.
The match begins as an Acquisition objective on the large sized map, the goal being to reactivate the facility and restore power to the null cannons.
Phase Two: Skirmish
Once the Acquisition portion is over the familiar message plays, "Capture Null Cannons to destroy hostile MCC". The map lights up, ready to be hacked.
Phase Three: Ambush
After the enemy MCC is destroyed the battle hasn't ended. The remaining clones must be hunted down and destroyed, or a final attempt at destruction.
Victory in each phase awards a Point. At the end of the match the team with 2 points wins. Each point multiplies your final payout for ISK and SP by 1.5. So even if you lost 2 phases but won 1, including the final Ambush, you still get a multiplier.
Cloning the enemy Team at any time results in a victory for that phase. Clone reserves are replenished at the beginning of each phase.
A Frontier match would be long and possibly painful, but each new phase offers the possibility of a victory. Also massive payouts for everyone involved, considering the amount of activity.
At the end of each phase each player who earned 50 or more WP during that phase is awarded an additional 100 WP.
Just wishful thinking.

First, that is a mode in Titanfall. At least the name is. And possibly a few of the features, but I haven't played it in a few months. It might well have changed.
Second, a large map does not work in the current environment. Maps were initially quite large (during early, early Beta). Now they aren't. Because they cannot be. See many posts on PS3 limits, dev posts, graphics optimization, slow frame rate, extensive reworking how graphics are used to reduce stress, yada-yada-yada.
Welcome to Dust.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.
