I recently decided I want to take my life in a more creative direction.
Anyways, for my first project I came up with this character for a larger story, but decided to make short spin off story about him in a sort of children's story style, except kind of creepy.
Warning: Mildly Creepy
"Larry Taffle"
There is a man named Larry Taffle.
He makes the best candy, children grab it by the handful.
You can eat your fill and rot your teeth.
But don't get too greedy, else you'll see what's beneath.
His candy is magic, the children can't resist.
Blinded by the sweetness, his candy is all they wish.
He says, GÇ£Come inside, you children so hungry.
The candy is here, down in the pantry.GÇ¥
The children think only of the sweets that await.
They listen to Larry and hustle with gait.
But it's empty down here, no candy in sight.
The children confused, look to Larry in the dim light.
He says to them, GÇ£Don't look so glum.
This is where we'll have lots of fun.
Close your eyes and count to ten.
And I promise you there will be candy again.GÇ¥
The children obey and cover their eyes.
Then Larry shifts out of his human disguise.
His skin seems to melt, his eyes become blank.
His jaw stretches far with his mouth wide agape.
The children uncover their eyes, and yell out in shock.
But it's too late for them, no time left on their clock.
They look on in horror as his mouth stretches wide.
And the souls of the children are sucked right inside.
Remember now children, don't get too greedy.
Don't eat without thought and gobble down candy.
Your teeth will rot out, and even worse still.
You might find yourself Larry Taffle's next meal.
I know a few of the lines don't flow as well as the others, but I think it's pretty solid overall.
I'll be adapting it into a comic form sometime in the near future.

Thanks, I did write this. Larry Taffle is an original character of mine. He's a character in a larger story I'm working on, just had an idea to make a little stand-alone thing about him.
