So in my time playing this game I've burnt through a total of 8 controllers, 3 tvs and 2 PS3s and I am wondering if maybe, considering the fact that there are no more PS3s being made, we could possibly get a Computer version for those of us die hards that still play.
Features: -Integration with Eve -Subscription Based -A complete set of assets rather than missing racial guns and vehicles -Some sort of a Player Market and Isk transfer between the Gunplay and Eve ends of things -Some kind of PVE -Some PVP of course

I wouldn't pay a subscription to play DUST.
I still pray for a PC & PS4 version in the future.

But would you pay to pay an avatar based mmo complete with flying in space, massive ongoing ground battles, industry, PVE and improved social interactions and structure?
If so MERGE EVE and DUST game play client wise now.... Elite may do it in the future (as well as being laucnhed on XBOX1 later this year) as will star citizen (PC only). They will be the complete sci-fi simulators Hilmar said EVE would be years ago and EVE/DUST will be old hat.
Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following.
I don't care so neither should you :)

I made a post about this some time ago, One Client to Rule Them All, and with low traction on that topic I would settle for something just PC based not even necessarily the same client so that Devs have the ability to actually upgrade the software when better hardware comes out.
I approve of the idea to merge clients though, it would make my upgrade day (every 6 weeks) easier on my bandwidth.

I'll admit I would expect some players not to be thrilled about this and at one time I would have had the same reaction, but of course I would also have expected CCP to retain more players considering it has stayed on the PS3 this long, I guess the PS3's market share has dropped off the face of the map considering XBox Live and PS4 are the new consoles that have all the action.
I also expected to see CCP do more asset wise with this game while on the PS3 but I guess my thoughts about how far CCP would get don't match their plans.

Talos Vagheitan wrote:Or... Sorry I can't read very well, were you indicating putting this on another console which is going to be obsolete as soon as Sony/Microsoft decide they have need for better hardware to play their games on? Something CCP needs to learn how to program again so that they can make the game better and not just screw it up like the first 8 months of Closed Beta and the subsequent time trying to fix all the still existing bugs?
They do have a great bug fix team but this game is seriously in need of some very high end computing power to succeed in what we are asking devs to put into it. For instance rendering (which has never been great) or Lag reduction. These are adjust the hardware to fix things, not possible when using a console, on PC its is simple...tell everyone "Ok boys and girls, today for the patch we have introduced some new requirements---you need X+ graphics card to play the game" the end. Or even upgrading the ram requirements.
It is really not that expensive or difficult to do these things on PC, but when was the last time anyone decided, hey I want to upgrade my gfx chip on my Sony/XB or install more ram? This is beyond a console's design philosophy, and for a game that is constantly evolving (EVE/Dust) as a game as a service venue, this is counterproductive and leads to the kinds of issues devs have been encountering through closed/open betas and even post release with rendering and lag.

Some want it on PC, some want it on PS4.
I just want KB/M to work properly and for it to be on more capable hardware but yes, DUST on PC sounds good to me.

Heck I have seen plenty of posts on how to use a PS3 controller with the PC too so really best of all worlds is PC, KB/M as well.

You would be paying $60 every month which is equivalent to a new game every month. Whoa there big guy, how do you figure it would be $60 a month, when Eve charges approximately $20 for a Plex which is worth 1 month of subscription time (30 days). That plex applies to all 3 toons on your account not just one.
Also that $20 a month cost for a plex is about the cost of a pack of cigarettes or a case of beer (12 bottles) where I live, ofc different countries exchange rates being what they are this may vary.
Here are the rates in Canada for Plex.
And this is what they are valued at for in game money courtesy of Eve-Central.

Monthly Subscription Costs pulled from my account management page for Eve.

George makes a good point that our isk earning potential in Dust is much much lower than an Eve pilot's possible earnings, where I can for instance make around 5-900mil in an hour in Eve making 5-9mil would take me a few hours in Dust, with Scotty off the bottle and just the right matchmaking going on and a perfect team to be a Point *****. This never ever happens.
This is where being able to sell game time to others more capable of making isk can be a valuable thing to be able to do, making a 20 dollar investment and buying a plex to have plenty of suits and tanks etc to go blow someone up or die in a tremendously spectacular firefight.
