only during the this weekend and last have i noticed i'm basically unable to play
i cannot even walk around the MQ without stutter walking, lag
i cannot sprint, it resets, i cannot hack, it resets, i cannot walk, i take baby steps/stutter walk like in the MQ, i cannot aim down sights because it flickers in and out
i've now had the PS menu pop up when i've not chose that at all..
just to mention, i've usually got a consistent 50-60ms ping to US servers, this is on a 20meg download and 1.5meg upload. my ps3 has static IP and in the DMZ, firewall turned off, i've even turned off wireless and disconnected every other network device, i am wired, i've even done the ps3 safe mode file system restore and database rebuild and all to no avail.
again, just started happening last weekend, this coincides with not being able to join US Communication, US Biomass isn't as bad to get in to and all EU servers appear to load me in faster as well... this never happened pre-replication
are servers currently being pushed to the max? |

to update, i've let a ping test run for a short time, here are the results
Ping statistics for 173.193.23.235:
Packets: Sent = 1993, Received = 1953, Lost = 40 (2% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 41ms, Maximum = 192ms, Average = 45ms
ping average is good, better than usual (50-60ms)
that Lost packets don't look good, especially for how low the ping sent is. 2% is a lot, no wonder i'm lagging like crazy. |

if you're over a wifi connection, that would explain the moderate ping but huge packet loss.
is anything else on your internet slow?
consider getting a better wifi antenna
if you're on RJ45, don't know what to tell you, sounds like your ISP is cutting corners somewhere

it is Insight BB, just bought out by Time Warner last year although they are not completed with the transfer yet. however, this just started happening two weeks ago. i am not throttled, there are tests out there that confirm this, i have never been throttled. thankfully i'm not capped either, if i ever get either i will immediately switch ISP. |

I get sporadic lag too.. more like random freezes while playing and I generally die from it because it always happens in combat.. it also happens while running or sprinting from one location to another.. but still.. it is kind of annoying.. |

OMG i just played 3 games lag free, i was finally able to walk, sprint, hack and ADS!!
i was so happy and then.... it puts me in the MQ and immediately i cannot walk, does the whole lag stutter walk again...
right after i said to a game full of people how excited i was to no longer be lagging...
welp, it was fun. i've rebooted and startin the client fresh, hopefully i get lucky again! |

join the party of stuter lag i can't get any better connection in my ps3 then 5.5 from my 12 mb sec up and down line i get 12 download but i need upload for this game |

dont trust the ps3 speed tests. use speedtest.net or similar. also, things that could improve connection, use wired, static ip, place ps3 in the dmz (this opens all ports) |

so the issue is back, was good for majority of yesterday and tuesday. only had these severe issues last night after they, CCP, was working on an issue last night.
edit: i've now deleted all Dust data, performed File System Restore and Database Rebuild and redownloading Dust now. We'll see how this goes.
edit2: this may have helped a little? i still have trouble walking side ways, backwards, hacking, LAV driving. walking forward does not seem to be as bad. |
