Love the game so far, but it definitely needs a kill cam, or in the very least a "kill direction" cam. It would help all of us with those LULZWTF!!!!! deaths. In the spirit of staying away from the COD way of doing things, make it a post-kill cam similar to BF. |

Doubt they will..the main aspect of this will be serious with a real complex economy..yes for fun but at the same time not so much meant to feel fun as it is meant to feel like you're actually apart of some constant ongoing battle for resources etc. They are making it off the EVE game and in no way is that cute or arcadeish etc etc etc |

EVE universe = dead serious, have to keep your mind tack-sharp, and your closest friend is the most likely to stab you in the back. In other words, my kinda game! DUST only feels light-hearted because we're all buddies in a beta where we don't know who's a Goon, who's a merc, or who's a scammer trying to find a new scheme to earn billions off of. Once we hit the ironically-named Tranquility, virtual reality will hit. Hard. |

Yea I suppose you are correct with this, it just doesn't have that EVE adrenaline rush sense of things. You know, the feeling that you could lose billions in seconds from a simple stupid mistake. Like flying around with all of your EVE assets in a Mammoth trying to move across Empire. Lol learned that one the hard way..... |

I don't think a kill-cam should be implemented. Mainly due to the fact that by implementing such a thing you are giving away the position of the person that killed you for no reason other than him killing you, so if a sniper is in a nice little spot and you are his first kill guess who's busted now? What I would like is a bigger notification of what killed me, as many times I am randomly walking and get blown away by some weapon that I didn't even see, I just want to know what killed me, and not the location of my murderer nor what they were doing up until the moment of my death. |

No kill cam, more rather a screens like in PlanetSide 2 with details on the player that did the kill. I agree with the direction-camera, we have that in Killzone 3: as soon as you go down the camera shifts in the direction of the killer. IMO we really need better details on who killed us and with what.
Maybe we could have a kill-cam if the enemy that killed us was "spot & marked" but I fear it would be tremendously complicated to implement such a thing. |

To be honest, I'd be perfectly fine if when we go down, the camera should go into third person, facing the direction you were facing when you died, and you could pan it relative to where you are (I.E. you can "move your head"). At least that way it would allow us to tea-bag someone properly.
Heck, even if we couldn't pan the camera, at least allow us to see our bodies in third person when we die so we can let the logi know if our bodies are clear or not. |

i disagree with this idea strongly you should have no idea where your killer is, if you wanna know where he is look for him. IF he has a good spot and can kill people and people are not smart enough to find him, the game should not give him away. fight smart then you will see where they are at. |

I also disagree even tho it is fustrationg sometimes when you get poped or hit from a unknown area this gam already makes it too easy to spot people leading to the game requiring less tought like if you point in general direction a red arrow pops up over there head so to combine this with kill cams would kill any tactical aproach to a target especialy if you have a mic then you as a dead man tell your squad where the shooter who had to use skill to get a undetected aproach on you. |

I don't want the death cam to put you in the direction or in any way hint as to where the attacker is/was as that is just unfair and takes away the realism. When you die, you see the world through the eyes of a dying rag doll. Keep it that way. |

If you don't know where the shot came from that killed you, then you should not know where it came from after you died, or anything about what they are using.

What more details do you want other than what they killed you with? If you died, you simply died.. maybe it was a grenade, maybe it was a missile. Either way you died, and therefore should be more aware at things that might kill you.. We don't need kill-cams, and we don't need more details. My 2 cents.. but meh. |

Well in fairness some kill people get in games are horrific i mean i don't know how many times i died in thing like COD or Ghost Reckon to people who just through a grenade in general direction of enemy spawn do we real want to see this or would we prefer to think the guy that killed us had a higher thought process of 2 brain cells rubbing together and higher to achieve a coherent tactic for a kill. |

CCP have mentioned there will be a heat map and a combat log. Hopefully the next build will have it. At the very least it will give us accurate data hopefully that will allow for better feedback from us. |

I disagree with this im afraid. If you didnt see where the shot came from thats your own fault. The eve player in me kinda goes "wtf u want camera drones that persist after death and suddenly jump to who killed you" erm i dont think so.
And anyway, tbh i think the game feels fine without the killcam atm. Id rather spend the 10 seconds looking at the map as i respawn to see where freinds and foe are. |

..especially when you say in the spirit of CoD or whatever. Dust is not CoD and doesn't relate to CoD except for it being a ~FPS.
That little note aside, I think kill cams are far to effective a method of finding someone you got killed by when you didn't even see the hit coming in the first place. Why would you know that information; there's just no good reason, and it's omnipresent knowledge.
Also, it borks teamplay by promoting soloing off to kill the guy who got you while your team is trying to take an objective.
If someone snipes you, launchers you, remote detonates you, hits you with a grenade, or just kills you from somewhere with a weapon of some kind and you don't see it or him coming, I think it should stay that way. |
