When you look at CCP Z's original idea for Project Legion, it never addresses the problem with BPOs. That and Z's idea forces you to go down a path you don't want in order to use a weapon you like while Aero's and Avallo's idea doesn't do that to you.

My hope is that the power core and skin wont ba prefitted, i.e., non-removable from the BPOs. If so, then we'd effectively have the same thing, only the game would see it as different (suit, core and skin as separate resources.)

So, I hope I can't get my Dragonfly scout skin separate to put that look on a proto scout or should I say a generic, non-BPO suit. Sure, I guess I could pop in a proto core on the Dragonfly suit, but it's the principle man!

They all have proto slot counts but pg/cpu will be that of basic, the power core will unlock the slots based on what level it is (std, adv, pro) and give you more pg/cpu. It's likely that the basic suits will not cost anything at all. They might be issued freely by the empires and other factions (the lore can be adjusted to reflect this change) while moving all of the costs from the basic suit to the power cores. In the case of the BPO suits we have today, read my last post on what I think would happen. Regardless if you paid AUR for looks or the ISK-savings advantage, the concept I'm thinking satisfies both of those reasons for purchasing the BPOs. STD suit= STD core etc. -they probs change the suits you receive in those into power cores -no, see the answer above this one. -as stated in the first answer it will be splitt. The apex suit will be splitt into a apex power core BPO and a apex skin module Basically you buy for example a Assault suit frame BPO on the market for 1 ISK which only has the slot layout but no PG+CPU. Then you go to the marketplace, buy a power core thats fitting your wallet and put it into the suits fitting slot to get PG+CPU that the powercore provides. So you dont buy new suits but rather have 1 and heavily modify that with different power cores. Rudimentary Mercs of scrubs and incompetence.
