So the word is Amarr and Minmatar are getting Cal/Gal vehicles with new paint jobs. I'm ok with that (for now) but I have one request...
For the sake of immersion, can Amarr tanks be painted Cal vehicles, and Minmatar be painted Gallente vehicles?
Just for the sake of lore, I feel it would make slightly more sense.

Caldari HAVs have always looked more minmatar to me. Especially back then there were marauder HAVs, so they were rust-colored

Weighing aesthetics vs lore...... I must admit the familiar shape of the Gallente HAV in Gold will be sexy as hell....but makes no sense.
Tbh I'd they focus on making a Heavy Beam Laser using the Blaster Turret...... or a slower firing Pulse Laser.

Honestly as someone who would use Minmatar Tanks, I would say; please no.
Gallente Tanks have never appealed to me, ever. Caldari Tanks on the other hand...
But that's just my opinion on aesthetics. It has nothing to do with the lore.

Lore wise though it makes more sense to me that the Minmatar would purchase the tank hulls the Gallente deem unowrthy for the battlefield due to faults, misalignments, etc which they would then cut down and add their own little MInmatar touches. Whereas the Amarr would but tanks through the State....perhaps even relying on Khanid Innovations to import and supply heavily armoured tanks.
However that being said from a design perspective the Amarr tank wouldn't feature sharp lines like the Caldari and Minmatar tanks.

Lorewise Minmatar would be ok with buying Caldari tanks (They, specifically Ishukone, helped free Minmatar slaves by giving away an antidote to the Minmatar for free)
plus, Caldari tanks are Caldari meaning shield heavy. Removal of unnecessary things like 'armor' add some duct tape and rust... BOOM Minmatar tank
lastly, imagining the white/gold color scheme of the Amarr on Caldari tanks proves it to be an affront on my eyes and better suited on the curves of a Gallente tank
