I find it unusual that you can not use a repair tool on yourself, but whatever, lets make something new then!
The guardian variant repair tool allows you lock onto one target for armor repairs.
While you are locked on, you and your target will gain the benefit of armor repair from the tool. If you lose lock on for any reason then you and your target will both lose the armor repair benefit.
I think this is a fair way to balance the tool as you can not just use it to repair yourself unless there is someone else to target nearbye as well. It also gives you somehing to think about, do you use a tool that allows you to repair two targets, or repair yourself and one target. Plus the other options available as well. |

I reject them and counter with my own patent pending tool, the self healing nanite injector.
Inject into your thigh for a instant 100 armour repair or inject into a friendly for the same 100 armour(flat)
Feeling ok? Don't have any friends? Inject it into your enemies and watch as the nanites eat them from the inside out(how do they know the difference? There f-ing tiny robots of course they know! This is new freaking Eden) get up behind someone for some backstabbing nanite action and severe the spinal cord for a extra 2d dmg!

everyone knows you have a big yellow 'shoot me sign' when repping others, this is atleast an idea. heck the repair tool doesnt even have to repair the user at the same rate as the target, its just an option. |

So does armor. The difference is that regenerates at a constant rate while you have to wait a couple of seconds first for the shields to regenerate, and even then they regenerate like 15 hp every pulse which is like once every second. |
