Greetings,
I kindly recorded the lecture for everyone on the DUST forums and outside the forums to listen to in case they missed it or would like to recap things that were talked about.
Primary Speaker: Maken Tosch Channel: Lecture.D-Uni Link: PC2.0 Lecture and more Lecture length: 39 - 48:42 minutes
Should I listen to this? Yes, if you do not want to go through the forums reading, Maken Tosch, from DUST University, has done a fantastic job compiling the information into a learning lecture. I enjoyed listening to this and I'm sure you would too.
Please, send all your thanks to Maken Tosch and DUST University for their continued support of helping whenever possible.
Feel free to discuss the lecture here if you want.

I still wanna know whether or not district locking could become an issue. That, and the good old fear that it will be TOO popular and it will be a race to see who can attack a district first.

Very cool.
Having regular lectures like theis on a variety of topics would be very helpful to new players! Could advertise in the squad finder.
CCP doesn't seem interested in making a real tutorial, but a system like this would do wonders.
You could also have experts in particular fields as guest speakers.
Would a donation help?
!--CCP, let's push for the license of Dust on both current Gen consoles--!

Would a donation help? I'm not sure how well that would work: these lectures have more or less just been breaking down threadnoughts. Instructional videos works better for most things. Would also say running new players with vets, but the matchmaker would murder the new players.
Nor was that a "new player" lecture: it was for players interested to see where PC is going, and what they should know coming up, as it's essentially Dust's endgame content. That's why I attended: wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything, which apparently I didn't, because my questions weren't meaningfully answered. Still asked more questions than probably anybody else, though. Ah well.

Unfortunately there were questions left unanswered especially in regards to the issue of possible district locking and CP cost of things. But that is because such information was not readily available to me and I wasn't able to answer those at all. Just remember that the Hot Topic Lectures are meant for relaying information that is already available to the public.
But anyways, I was thinking that after the recent lecture I would start going back to hosting more instruction-based lectures like the ones I did before which covered different parts of Dust like "how to train up to be a scout" or "the lore and Dust" or "how to prepare yourself for player trading" and so on. I'll post an announcement about my next lecture tomorrow once I got a solid idea on which instructional lecture to cover.
In the meantime, I like to thank Starlight Burner for volunteering to record and upload the audio to SoundCloud.
