They need to push the redline WAY closer to the objectives and make it so that no one can stay in there for more than a small amount of time. |

Or push them as i said and use trans dimensional portals to send mercs 200-250m from the closest point.

I really did not like the transdimensional portals. They are cool and all but they are just another thing to be camped.
Just spread ground spawns all over the map so that the only choices are to spawn in the middle of the fight or get kicked for not spawning.
I am so sick of being in a match with 16 blueberries and only me and 3 others are even within 200m of the letter.
ISK and SP just for being in a match is a terrible design. Reward ONLY performance.
Give newbies a special multiplier for their efforts to keep them gaining through the rough patches.

The redline is crucial to stop a match of constant spawn camping. There just needs to be more incentives to actually push the point and risk suits.

They're a cool gimmick, but they don't add anything that a normal ground spawn point wouldn't. At least a ground spawn would give you some protection on spawn.

GǪ. Not being sarcastic when I say I truly feel for you players out there who have learned the truth that most of the disasters such as "redlining" that happen to your team are CAUSED by your team's own failure to wise-up and use sense. YOU have become wise players on the map,GǪ but it's VERY hard to pull your fellow players up to your level of smart playing.
And until they (I don't care who they are, sometimes Newberrys, but let's be honest, sometimes they are long-time players with no excuse for being so blind)GǪ until they take a cue from you or actually TRY to become smarter players, they ought to be redlined, and camped, and victimized by Dust.
And YOU, ought to put more distance between yourself and those poor players on the map. Leave them behind,GǪ you can't help them, and they only bring enemy trouble in your direction. I suggest you become a teacher with a MIC (SOME of them will listen and try to obey your cues during a match) ----or you can use your equipment to herd them at the enemy's back door while you slip through the side door (callous, but regularly necessary to steal an objective) ----or socialize and network with skilled-but-freindly players who can rescue you from the cattle and give you the solid resourceful gamefun you deserve. Hey, if you've developed sense enough not to get caught in redlines/camping with the fodder, you're the kind of player I like teaming with.
Don't bang your heads against the wall trying to suggest solving the wheelchair-portals, camping and redlining problems---they are not "problems". They are Dust's punishment for the players who continue to be stubborn or below your wisdom level.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

Dude, they had to move it forwards because after I redlined the enemy. I kept repeatedly running back there and murdering as many people as I could, before I self destructed this was also before they nerf'd me. Congrats CCP. You finally did it, jerks

That's not even true... There are so many ways to curb spawn camping, having more spawns being the best idea, as it makes camping all the spawns cause your team to be spread too thin.
Currently instead of spawn camping, the bad players get redzone camped, you can see where they're going to come from and just dump your whole team across their redline... Remove the redline and put more spawns in, then people will have a hard time camping the spawns, allowing smart players to take advantage and counter attack, without the worry of some scrub sitting in the other redzone pointing a rail-tank at the objective.
The redzone causes more problems than it solves. |

There is nothing you can do to help the guys who just decide it is better to not fight when they are going to lose. That is exactly why I say we need a reward system based completely on participation.
What it comes down to is some people do not have BPOs to spam at the redliners so they are doomed to lose money, some just rubber band and go AFK, and some will just stand around and watch you spam BPOs thinking they are better than you because they are not dying. All of those behaviors come from a broken system which really does not reward the guy fighting more than the guy pointing and laughing.
We watched PC finally get everything passive removed because it was being farmed so in my opinion it is only a matter of (probably a long time) before the same thing is realized in pubs and FW.
At some point CCP has to come to their senses and realize that punishing poor behavior will not work and that we can only go on with a system of rewarding every little bit of participation. Until then we can all sit here and argue about matchmaking, proto stomps, red line snipers, and whatever else you want to add to the list.

That particular map is problematic in many ways, especially in Domination.
I think your video is a great example what happens when the spawn point is too close to the redline edge. Remember when the spawn point in Acquisition was outside of the redline? Constant spawn camping...
It's a chicken and egg thing. We want the redline to be further away, but the default spawn points must be deep enough into the enemy redline to not get camped, so the spawn point must move with the redline. Players (manly infantry) don't want the spawn points too far away from the objective to not spend the entire match just running.
I still think portals could help with this paradox, if implemented properly (not like "Other Contracts").

Bigger maps needed, spawn points and mcc areas moved further away from objectives and shielded so the routed side can avoid being harrassed. Remove red line.

Why remove the redline? So you can stomp weak/defeated players even harder with your shenanigans?
Public skirmish = camping games,
Public domination = officer sniping games,
Public ambush = russian roulette

A strict NO to the redline removal. Each side deserves and must have at least two different home spawn areas far away. If all home spawns can be camped, it is unnecessarily gargantuan task to mount counter offense. Everyone deserves a change - at least an option - to spawn in without instablapped by turret or RE or nade or three man fire team. To those willing to risk (or lazy to do the travel) there will be contested spawn areas like CRUs and MAYBE a contested home spawn.
YES to pushing redline away from map objectives. It is bad if people can fight for the point from within protection of their homeline.
