The 20 seconds need to be reduced to at most 15 seconds. On the Ashland map, it is very easy to slip off the southern cliff and fall into the redline with no way of coming back out of it. Because it takes 20 seconds to recall and the redline timer itself is 20 seconds, several games worth of ISK go down the drain with nothing you can do.
And having to reverse without a proper rear-view while being chased by AV is still a b**** and a functionality that should've been added ages ago.

i agree with recall time being shortened the part where you fell off a cliff was dumb tho and you shouldnt have mentioned it

the long recall time. sometimes rdv's crash for no reason/no outside intervention and destroy/wreck your vehicle. the cost of vehicles. we pilots really do get the short end of the stick and we dont even complain half as much as these baby back ***** infantry fools

I can recall my tank just as my new tank drops. Of course this works only when RDV isn't an *******.
Cuz more than often RDV that i get likes to make some flips, circles, fly up and down and do other acrobatic stuff. Not to mention RDV intel which is between 1 to 10 cuz it doesn't see structures on its way.
First we should improve damned RDV. Recall time is okay, may be reduced by few seconds but it's not that needed.

Also tankers would call in a new tank and recall the old to nullify the cooldown timers on their modules letting them have tank and/or gank at the ready at all times.
The timer's fine, if you know there's a risky area, stay away from it.

Hmmm... That makes sense.
Nonetheless, it does get annonying when I land my dropship and I waste time sitting there and eventually getting shot by swarms.
The recall time should vary based on vehicle. If I recall, LAVs are 5 seconds shorter. IMO it should be: tanks = full time, dropships = -5s, LAVs = -10s.

I land on a roof to spray HMG everywhere and flux all the uplinks.
It gets annoying when I look like I'm trying to do the same thing as them, and they pull out the rooftop AV while simultaneously covering an objective. It's a little broken.

If you don't reduce the time at least let teammates help you recall faster, or let codebreakers work to reduce it. The whole drunk RDV pilot situation is bad these days. Steve needs rehab badly. How about finding a nice uncampable spot in the red zone and puting a landing pad there for vehicles. Only allow LAV's to be called in anywhere. |

If another tank came on the field that could destroy your's, just speed away until you have just enough cover to use the stupidly fast vehicle recall, and you save yourself from losing your vehicle.
It made vehicle-vehicle combat stupid and boring. You shouldn't ever be recalling a vehicle out in the field.

hmmm. that sounds like bullshit to me. depending how far into the redline you are in that shouldnt happen also it takes about 15-20 seconds to hack and then if you are unlucky another 5-15 seconds to to get in hacked vehicle, assuming you went far into the red line it could take 5-10 seconds to get to you + the time to kill you and hack and get out so all that in 20 seconds ? i think not
