Strafing only makes these problems far more obvious and in very rare cases even allows those issues to be exploited. It should be far more than obvious by now that we are not going to get high frame rate and hit detection that works so could we at least have something done about the things that give a huge advantage from those things being broken?
This game has been played for over 2 years by high quality FPS players from all games backgrounds...
They have competed in endless PC's for months straight, Tournaments, Squad cup, Urgent Fury Tournament..
And during all this time did we ever see these players complain that someone is moving to much and making it to hard for them to aim??
Like you can't be this obtuse or focused on just your emotions and feelings of the issue not actually looking at facts.
People hit each other fine... In Highly competitive modes in DUST with actual competent players who have largely left this game because of it's incompetence... No one had trouble killing each other because we moved side to side... That is just part of playing a shooter.
CCP has given you guys Aim assist to largely negate the hit detection issues and moving targets that people are to lazy to learn how to track... And feel they just just have to touch the joystick in their general direction and fire and the target should die..
They have dumbed down and made this game as stupid as it can... They have chased away nearly every player who is an FPS enthusiast in doing so?
In turn they have attracted a casual CoD player to DUST. And threads and opinions that strafing needs to be nerfed like these pop up....
Why do we even have the ability to aim at all? Just give us a general locking mechanic that keeps us facing at the target and landing all our bullets.... MMORPG style.. Give us "Next Target" and "Target closest target" Button options...
No point in aiming really anymore anyway... With aim assist and how suits work... It's pretty much not far away from the above option anyway. |

FACT.
You have bought forum propaganda as FACT..... FACT.
CCP has stated countless times... It has been proven by multiple you-tubers... There is acceleration curve in moving in DUST...
When you goto move.. You DON'T automatically start at full speed... There is an acceleration curve before you get to top speed.
You can hit "A,D,A,D,A,D" all you want on the keyboard.... you end up in the same spot and EXTREMELY easy for aim assist to hit..
There is a thing called Stutter stepping on the Gamepad... This is a skill that every quality Console FPS player learns as a right of passage from becoming a normal casual FPS player to one that cares about their outcome and continuously tries to improve it.
But whatever sit in your ignorance blaming **** that doesn't exist and calling it facts. |

Is that why they are still trying and doing things like PC 2.0 and power cores? Because they don't care? They dont care about issues like strafing, op weapons, and other small mechanics. They just add stuff and never fix it. THEY DONT CARE Maybe they care and just realize certain fixes take amounts of time disproportionate to problem compared to other fixes. And they obviously care about OP weapons as there have been numerous weapons changes over the past year. I think your frustration is clouding your judgment. No i have taken that into consideration, i assure you that im not frustrated. I have seen they have tried, but failed flat on their face in doing so. The buffed the scrambler when its not needed. They focus too much on the numbers and not the actual game mechanic and gameplay of the weapons .
Wtf are you smoking? So much stupid in this thread...
CCP Shanghai spent over a year buffing and nerfing things based on them playing the game and deciding to nerf or buff this based on whims...
CCP Rattati came in and his first year was just building spreadsheets and data points in which CCP Shanghai could make proper educated decisions about actions in the game..
Not nerfing and buffing soemthing because they "Felt" it was to strong in playstesting... They do it based on actual data now.
Which every game developer does.
Further more the nerfing and buffing of gun classes is game development 101... They teach this in universities accross the planet.. It is part of basic game design... They do it in Destiny, CoD, BF, Titanfall... When certain gun classes or weapon become to prominent or used to much with extremely high statistics..They will nerf it and buff another gun class...
Why? because it is good business.. Because it keeps players engaged, hunting and training for new items.. Evolving.. It's how you design these games... Bungie does the same with Destiny..
This should not be a surprise to people... If you see alot of people using the same weapon... It will get nerfed.. Not because it is OP... but because everyone is using the same weapon. |
