This only exists in Xer Jins head and ive had enough, i started 'player trade' the channel as a fair place to add contacts, see whats for buy/swap and sale in the forums while in game and to basically socialise. People lfs, they tell jokes and have a laugh, theres drama, and a few players get giddy and give isk and items away etc. When a trader is selling something too good to be true or has been red flagged the general community inform each other, they use Dust board, EvE gate and other sources, not me, they do as a majority, if you scam in EvE everyone gives you a high five, do it in 'player trade' and they light you up.
As i'm always in player trade its like being a bar tender, you see it all, hear this and that. Most i'll keep quite about it but not this.
After EvE Pilot 'Xer Jin' of ALPHA 001 Trading came to player trade and began slandering the community by calling them all scammers and thieves it seemed odd he followed up with inviting them all back to his channel.
You see two nights ago Xer Jin had a meltdown because the love of his life no longer speaks to him, he went on to blame the community of ALPHA 001/Dust514/EvE and not only booted everyone but also after extensive abuse passlock his channel. apparently its your fault he has no life. I had hoped he would take a time out and just calm down (as i don't know Xer Jin personally) as i believe the more trade channels the better chances of getting a sweet deal. unfortunately Xer doesn't and seems to crave some kind of none existing power by being the only one with a trade chat.
After entering 'Player Trade' as a pilot and condemning us as thieves and liers then demanding everyone rejoins your channel you have basically inherited the same members.
Xer Jin of EvE, your the player from the game that rewards lies and deceit, whilst we are from one that shunes it. Your actions and words speak volumes as to the type of person you are.
I had hoped we could work together you know? I was actually going to ask if we could share info on scammers who have appeared in one channel thus exposing them in the other and trying to work together to keep both communities that bit safer but i doubt i will even give you a second thought after today.

Many people do get worked up through real life and Dust514, unfortunately not many have the ability to just switch it of and go for a walk or take a breather. I fail to understand Xer Jins unprovoked attack on Dusts Trading community. If running a chat channel is that stressful for him then hand it to someone else or close it. Simple

Seeing as i'm pretty much as antisocial as it gets that and mainly paranoid... I really don't socialize with people. This really doesn't bother me as much as people do but still player trade is a good trading channel and I hope it will stay that way. I've been getting so many Officer gear on my alt that I may trade in player trade or sell once I get him to LR 2.

I decided to leave Alpha 001 Trades chat channel after reading through this thread.
I do not think I want to be associated with such a person especially with my Corporate Broker Alt. My job is to help filter out the shenanigans and drama before it reaches my corp mates, most of whom are just new players who may not fully understand the cutthroat concept of New Eden.
PS: The reason Eve Online encourages such deceit is because scamming is technically difficult to accomplish. There are contract systems and market windows which include details that help buyers or sellers avoid scams. If anyone falls for the scam, it's because they did not check twice before clicking 'ACCEPT'. In other words, you have to be a complete idiot to fall for these things. Dust doesn't have such tools available.
