Make armor dropsuit a have much lower shield recharge. That way they are forced to use rechargers. This would mirror shield dropsuit a equipping armor repairers.
I will use gallente and caldari in pros/cons below.
Caldari pros- high shield, high recharge cons- low armor, low recharge.
Gallente pros- high armor, high repair cons- low shields, low recharge
Also, the Caldari NEED less time to wait for depleted shields. I can reload faster then their shields can start to regen.
AT LEAST reduce it enough that a Caldari assault with 3 complex regulators only has to wait for 1 (ONE) second for shoeless to start recharging again.
PS, I do realize I am nerfing my own race=ƒÿÉ

I'm an armor tanker (primarily Gallente), and if this idea were implemented it would not change a single one of my fits. I would not sacrifice a single one of my armor lows to repair my already meager shields. If anything, this would push people towards dual-tanking, which if I remember correctly many people are against.

Yep. They should have made dropsuit stats fair and balanced with each race favouring higher shield/armour and it's respective regeneration. But for some reason they didn't.
I would like a Gallente SMG.

Caldari can gain near equal armour as Gallente easily and frequently dual tank. When you stop the dual tanked Caldari then you can nerf Gallente shields.

I can stack shields. I've done it before. It's just not the best option for gallente. Damage mods are the way to go.

I can agree, and even if we do stack shields we can get around 360 ish and still only regain 20 shields per second with a 7-10 second delay.

Which in of itself lies a critical issue... If we can get gal level armor, and gals cant get our level shields, thats when you know armors too powerful.

Not a fan of your solution for fixing armor v shields (shields only need slight less depleted recharge and they are fine,) but I will say, only the gallente should have a small inherent rep, because that is there thing first of all, and secondly, they have LOLSpeed, when that is there secondary thing..

I just realized, putting speed and damps in high slot and damage mods in lows, would only really empower the armor players, cause caldari has 5 highs and 3 lows, where as gallente has the opposite of that, and amarr, I don't know how many slots they have, doing this, would only fix the minmatar race, and skew their abillity to tank armor... (Actually upon further thought, it might empower them more as well in some unforseeable way).
