I've been getting a few headshots per round with the laser rifle lately, embrace the future, I'm learning to completely drop the SCR. people gonna QQ, I QQ a lot but it's not about weapons or suits, more like technical issues, but eventually the SCR will get nerfed, already you've felt it change in the new heat buildup nerf, which makes it feel like I haven't even skilled into amarr assaults.
laser rifles are few and far between but when you see one you think, who the hell would use that, they must be really good with it! And they're either very good or very bad with it, you can become the most annoying person on the field if you try.
I've also created a fit which can't be killed at long distances, it can rep through anything (at long distance) and eventually anyone shooting at you just tries to run away, trapped in a web of heat, that's when you're free to melt them without concern.
this is the weapon no-one cares about, when was it changed last? remember when people used to camp on the roof of the map with the 4 huge structures enveloping the objective and go 30-0 with the viziam? after that nobody gave a crap,it was powerful for a while but then it just sank into the realms of obscurity.
anyway watch out, quintuple armour repped, triple complex damage modded assault suits which can kill you from 100-150m away ARE COMING. it won't become anything near FOTM so long as it isn't touched at all, but the few using it will be very good with it. rail rifles are still a bit of a pain but we'll work through it.
now's the chance to skill into a niche weapon which a lot of people don't know how to react to or counter. when everyone is whining about something popular, go the complete opposite way. watch out very carefully for effective range stats being changed, they won't change on the laser rifle but if the range on say the RR and SCR are nerfed (which they should be, you can kill at 120m+ with the scr if you try) then we will be in our optimal position.
whine and we will adapt! you will be slayed nobody stops the amarr/ IGNORE THE GALLENTE AVATAR!
i don't think the aSCR will be nerfed after it's performance boost as the galAR will be buffed so if anything it will be brought in line with (or so they think) the SCR. |

matey with MLT PLC OHK'd my ak.0 the other day so I agree with you.
also I'm actually starting to learn how to survive in CQC with a laser rifle, by ensuring headshots, sure it's hard and I have an SMG but don't doubt a good laser rifle user, even in CQC!
I've danced around (bad) proto scouts and melted them in CQC, not every time, just watch this space.... |

ah I don't use commandos on my shotgun guy, not enough low slots.
my fit I use which sounds stupid but is quite effective is:
gallente adv heavy
3 complex kin cats
damage mod!
I love mk ADV amarr commando, 999hp, CRD and ELM, almost as good as proto suit! |
