Just 1 guy with a proto suit who usually didn't even have proto anything else. This isn't the first day its happened either. Why the heck is no one proto stomping, that's what the game is all about. What I've seen contradicts this Whether I run my adv gear, my proto gear, or my "I ain't gonna lose isk today" gear I almost always see 250k payouts,.. Occassionaly I go hunting in a match (Hate snipers poppin me) And then I see a lot less Beware the mighty chinchillasaurus rex!

The only thing WP itself determines is SP gain. Some details can be ignored
