Hello again everyone!
Given that CCP Rattati was "mind blown" by the concept of powercores and later went on to say "there is no technical issue that we can see hindering us from implementing something like this," it's looking like this MAY be actually happening. So how about we further the discussion and talk about one of the more exciting aspects of this concept, tiericide!
All suits would assume the slot layout of their prototype equivalent, and therefore the standard and advanced cores will need increased CPU and PG to accommodate for the extra slots. Post your thoughts and we shall theory craft. Obviously first suggestions will likely need some advising and that's OK. I'll try to keep the second post updated with the best proposals so far. Sorry for not posting any of my own ideas, I'm actually away on my phone for now but figure there's no reason not to start this thread now if anyone wants to contribute.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the current system is as follows:
STD: Base PG/CPU ADV: x1.5 of STD PRO: x2 of STD
I think the best method is to calculate the average resource cost for a H/L module, weapon, equipment, etc. and increase accordingly based on what a specific suit gains in terms of slots. It might also be useful to take a look at past changes, such as when Assaults received more slots.
I have the time to do all this math, however I've never made a spreadsheet. I'm sure people would prefer I didn't make a massive list for every suit at 2 tiers in a forum post.
Hope this helps.
Edit: I realized I don't have to make a list. I can just find out how much a slot is "worth" and we can go from there. Working on it.

Okay, here's the value of slots. -I excluded CPU and PG Upgrades, and I valued Cloak Fields for when they have the (-75%) fitting bonus. -I decided not to factor in any other fitting bonuses just to raise the numbers a little, because they're looking a bit small. -I didn't calculate weapon and grenade slots, as those are not gained through tiers on any suit. -I also excluded variants of equipment, as the vanilla versions are the "intended average", if that makes sense.
Standard Tier
High slot: 17.33 CPU, 1.33 PG Low slot: 11.8 CPU, 2.1 PG Equipment: 26.85 CPU, 5.64 PG
Advanced Tier
High slot: 40.33 CPU, 2.16 PG Low slot: 20.3 CPU, 3.9 PG Equipment: 41.35 CPU, 7.75 PG
These can be rounded to the nearest whole number for simplicity, if needed. I'm creating an example, to see if it works out okay.
A STD Minmatar Logistics would increase from 195 / 39 -> 280 / 51 ADV would go from 273 / 55 -> 374 / 69
I found this to be a problem, as this brings the ADV logi very close to the PRO, which is 390 / 76. Despite my hypothesis, these numbers are a little too much. Using the numbers I provided, maybe the ADV could be scaled directly on the half point between STD and PRO. Other ideas are welcome.
Another thing: I thought about how I factored in a lot of modules that cost zero PG, skewing the final result a little. These are mostly Ewar mods, and I figured a suit should be adjusted based on what modules it is expected to equip. As in, a Sentinel is most likely not going to equip Ewar, so it should be excluded from the equation for their resource increase. Not to mention range amplifiers aren't exactly worth using at all, but I put them in just in case.
Alright, done for now. Hopefully this will be useful. :)

Well just did a quick check on my Amarr Ak.0 to the lesser assault versions CPU and Pg and have notice that the lesser versions can comfortable accommodate the exact fit with their respective module progressions. While I do have all my cores max I feel as no adjustments are needed and will post more details after I finish a few more chapters of Templar One.

That's something I'm thinking as well but haven't ran any numbers yet. With all my cited 2 skills maxed if I try to fit all standard on a standard suit or all advanced on an advanced suit I have so much free space left over.

I don't think changing CPU/PG values will be necessary.

'therefore'? Just because the suits gets extra slots doesn't necessitate increasing the CPU/PG If anything keeping the CPU/PG the same is more beneficial
Players would have to think about what they want with their suits, increasing CPU/PG for STD/ADV would devaluate PRO cores
and probably some other stuff as well but I don't want to drone on

I hate to agree with Cat, but I am going to. Just this once.
Mostly because we won't actually know how things will shake out, and adjustments are going to need to be made anyways, more likely than not.
I say start with the current benchmark and address needs and problems as they arise.

Start out with current values.
