Should just be a bigger buff for the suit skills. Assault get light weapon damage, logi gets sidearm etc.

I would prefer if we implemented other weapon mods that effect other aspects of the weapon- Effective range mods, RoF mods(Decreases damage or range, increases RoF by 2X as much as it takes away) and clipsize increase/decrease mods that similarly effect reload speed.

If damage mods do not make sense on suits then the assault and commando bonuses do not make sense either.
I will not even start listing things in Eve that would not make sense.
Just accept it as New Eden clone magic and look more at the idea above about mods that modify weapons in other ways. |

Notice how damage mods require CPU and PG? Wonder where that's going?

Wonder where that's going? The Commando's damage bonus is probably more efficient since it's custom fitted onto the suit. It's like the difference between duct taping two pieces of metal together, or just having one piece of metal the size of the two.
