Not even touching on module balance, here's some things that would improve vehicles universally.
- When you enter a small turret, you should be able to see what type (MLT, ADV, PRO it is. - Pilot should be able to see ammo of all turrets. - Vehicle scans should work for all passengers, even blue dots. - The little overhead view of your tank should show which direction turrets are facing - Hardener animations need to be toned down for small turret users. The animation blocks too much view. - When fitting a tank or DS, when you select a turret, the actual turret on the tank itself should light up, so you can see more easily where it will be on your tank. - Better locking options. (Allow squad only, or manual locks which the pilot can control anytime) - The "Press O to flip" works poorly. - Physics. LAV's still need more than 0 shock absorption. They drive like motorized soap-box-cars. - Would be cool if specific parts of vehicles could be damaged/destroyed. IE: Individual thrusters on DS', making them difficult to control and forcing crash-landings. Or damaging turrets on tanks. - Enter exit animations.

About the turrets, they should MOVE WITH THE VEHICLE. They SHOULD NOT BE INDEPENDANT.

I like all of this.
Some of it may not be doable however, such as animations. That's something I believe CCP already stated they would do if they could, but they can't.
Some details can be ignored

This would make it difficult for gunners, especially on a dropship because they're constantly moving and making tiny adjustments. Though they really should fix when you rotate too far and the turret snaps in one direction.
