I was in that match. Super laggy and you guys kept camping our home spawn. I joined it because it showed I had good connectivity with it (if those bars indicate connection, that is). If anything, those bars lie!!! |

You probably did have a good connection to it, unfortunately it was probably ruined by some of the other population of the game.

If we removed server selection, it would take forever for me to find a match at the times when I normally play.
I normally have to play on the American server, even though I live in Europe, because the queue times are way too long when I play (about 20:00 - 03:00 EVE time). I don't know why people say that you have an advantage if you play on another region's server: I always get the best connection on the EU server, America being second best, and Asia being very bad.

its ok. Dust514 is one of the few games with a player base so small your forced to play against a whole bunch of regions. this is why Dust514 is probably the laggyist game ever made.

Actually , I'm getting less lags on america server (EU player).... Dunno how that works.
As for french players, getting lags 80% of the time I'm playing with prima laggicus ;) I'm not saying you guys are doing it on purpose, but it lags as hell..
Oh and maybe asian players are playing on "our" server because they cannot find any match for 10 minutes sometimes?
Or maybe they are getting less lags this way? Youll never understand CCP coding ;) |

Lol if they removed that option then your game would go to the fastest game (Automatic Option) Fastest = Asia = ProtoStomps and bad lag for Some amuricans. So I vote no. Besides you have to check the time in EU before going on it they usually stomp in the morning EST time.

Lately, I've seen more and more North and South American/Asian players in the games. I'm getting shot through walls more often than ever, and more players are rubberbanding around the map for everyone in my squad. Over the past week or so, my whole squad has had to just mess around in the redline for most of the match because the lag gets so bad that the game is unplayable, but leaving the match would mean losing out on the ISK and SP we would earn if we stick around, which seems a bit unfair considering that it's not our fault we can't actually play near to the objective.
I play with a connection of between 15 and 20Mbps download, and 1Mbps upload, with a ping of around 30-40.

I'm always online between then, and never have a problem getting a match on the EU server. I rarely need to wait more than 2 minutes if I'm queueing Domination. If I queue anything else, it's a wee bit of a longer wait, and sometimes I time out, but it's not too bad. |

Because the EU server is overrun with Americans (from both North and South) and Asians. All of them cause lag, especially the ones with <5mbps download speed!
Sometimes the EU games are so laggy, I join a squad of Americans to escape it. |
