Amarr AV weapon: Solar Launcher
Launcher that shoots a different kind of grenade. This grenade projects a sphere of laser energy (similar to the miasma grenade effect). The greater the coverage of the vehicle by the field, the greater the damage. Should not be focused enough to wreak havoc on dropsuits. Solution: within the field there are several points that cause damage, far enough away from eachother that only one can hit a dropsuit at a time, but a vehicle can hit all of them (causing devastation and tears). Or just cause greater damage closer to the center.
Has laser damage profile. Duration: 5 seconds. Clip size: 2 ROF: 1 round per 2.5 seconds. Reload speed: 4 seconds. DPS: Slightly above PLC DPS when fully "sphered". Fitting: similar to Mass Driver but more PG Radius: 3 Meters Laser Field Should/Should not completely block view???
Note: possible to have a Flak version that shoots straighter, faster, shorter burn time, larger burn radius, but less DPS. Would auto detonate after 3 seconds/remote detonate/detonate on contact with vehicle for aerial threats.
Excellent at keeping vehicles at bay / suppression. True to Amarr form. Also, not a heavy weapon, brings parity to the factional light weapons. And parity for the shield/armor AV world. Well, closer at least.
I understand there are some complex game mechanics involved with this, need help simplifying/reusing existing resources so that this might actually become a reality.

So basically what I understud after reading the first couple sentences is.you want a Amarr MD.

If the DPS is substantial enough, you could keep a tank out of a socket, or lock him in for swarm action.

Meaning it would be ridiculously OP. Area denial is fine but it would have to be crazy broken to be effective, not to mention infantry could be farmed in an enclosed area with it.
