in my personal history from noobish beginning to now:
-Putting Officer gear on a MLT Amarr Heavy Frame
-Deleting my first merc, whose name was Fausto Alberdin and had blueprint LAV, HAV, & Dropship.
-Not knowing where to put my SP in because i was a dumb noob.
-Putting a Black Eagle AR.......... in the light weapon slot........ in a Calmando.
-Also fitting my Calmando with an Ion Pistol
-Ramboing 7 mercs in PRO fittings protecting their CRU and killed all of them with a Caldari Heavy Frame C/1 Series. ( i didn't say they couldn't be successful.)
-Search for the legendary Photon Gear. ( search still going.)
What were the stupid things you've done in Dust? |

The stupidest thing I've ever done was back when I was still a little nooblet. I couldn't get any kills, so I was running around hacking things and destroying equipment. Someone had set up a couple of nano-hives next to a CRU, so I melee'd them since I didn't wanna waste ammo in case someone showed up and started hacking the CRU. Out of the corner of my eye I saw this little black box on the ground. Had no idea what it was. Never seen one before. When I looked at it it gave me the little red symbol to show it was an enemy's equipment, though, so I figured I'd get rid of it.
Melee.
Boom.
But hey, +5 points, right? |

OP: The infamous first dive off the MCC.. Ending in my death.
Skilling into a proto suit first. No cores. No anything. Well... Proto AR...
Cooked a grenade, threw it, bounced back.... 'Songs of Seraphim committed suicide'
Thought I could damage the MCC... With an AR.
Used an Assault suit with NO SIDEARM. Turns out, sidearms help win fights.
And played solo and learned the hard way of playing Dust. Hardened me the fu*k up.

I spend money on Dust 514.
I thought Dust 514 could become a great game even though they did not make it on PC.

I made two separate characters and skilled them into different things. It would have been better to have all those assets/skills on one character.
Oh well, the other one only had Assaults and Logis and now I can't stand to use Med suits at all, so not much was lost.

Called in LAV and immediately headed for the enemy home point on skirm. Jumped out in an "action hero style" way, ready to shoot the group of enemies crossing the road. The LAV continued to move--go figure--and pinned me up against a wall, squishing me. kiarbanor committed suicide.
This has happened multiple times, that's the worst part. |

In reply to OP, I have on more than one occasion held a core locus for a fraction of a second too long and esploded myself. Cooking grenades ish hard.

Honestly none of us could have expected Wolfman would scrap nearly half the modules and fundamentally alter how HAV worked.
I mean I like some of the changes but some of the changes/removal of the core Armour/Shield Modules really hit hard.
