Disagree, I think CCP should give all new players their pick of a first tier suit of their choosing with everything on the suit at level 1, it would then prompt them to put the armor/shields, equipment on that suit. Once they pick the suit that's it, no changing. This would give them a fighting chance imo. So if they pick a Gal Assault they get a lvl 1 uplink, if they pick Caldari Assault they get a lvl 1 nanohive unlocked etc.

Stop making player accounts CCP Z! While i respect what you're suggesting, that is too narrow and determined. The NPE needs some tutorial loving as to inform the newbros what things do, so they choose from there, not coddle them into suits and equipment they still won't know to use.
As for Shotty's suggestions, i say it looks good, but i have a huge reservation about the end game timers being weekend only. We d have to see they in cacktion first and adjust accordingly from there, imo.

The best route to better match quality is more players.
Otherwise you'll trade load time for quality matches, and both are very important. |

Playerbase numbers and a force -projection limiter.
Gives weekenders a chance to play the end-game while being some what (but not really) on par with no-lifers.

Like most of these ideas. Particularly with the NPE section.
I disagree with: Restricting PC to weekends, and removing squads from bush.
Here's what my Quality list would look like
* Set Ambush squad size to 4 * Leave Dom/Acq Squad size to 6 * Remove Skirmish from pubs * Add Team Deploy to FW. * Tweak payouts, although I don't know exactly how.
This would still allow small squads to play bush, but keep the full proto squads out. The full squads would then have to go to Dom/Acq, or FW if they want to play Skirm.
This makes those modes more popular, making it easier to perform matchmaking.
This also will make solo's and small squads flock back to ambush, which is now less competitive now that full squads are not allowed in.

2.5mil SP won't help new players.
I've had an alt sitting for months, gathering passive SP. I meant to use it today to that caldari are UP. But, it didn't have the ISK to do ****, and it couldn't take the ISK I put in the corp wallet for it, because it isn't LR2

Fair points, Talos. Still, I suspect a solo queue would wonders for headcounts and daily activity. Evenly sided matches would be all-but guaranteed in this queue. It'd be a safe haven from stomp-or-be-stomped, and it given players a much-needed somewhere recharge, build Isk and gain SP. I can think of no better way to attract and keep casuals and slow burnout rates among regulars.
