I think the reason people don't like it is that being on a sidearm helps them realize that charging an automatic weapon is idiotic.
I feel like whoever came up with most caldari stuff just ran out of ideas and pulled that out of their ass.

I have never been killed by a magsux, but I have killed with it. The kick is almost childish though. I used it primarily on my calogi back before I respecced into Amarr. I don't think its bad, so much as it just isnt optimal for sidearm use. It may be the weakest sidearm.

Wrong.
Weapon is lackluster at range due to recoil and GARBAGE sights.
Weapon is complete tripe in close quarters because Caldari like weapons that are non-functional at close range.
Simple arithmetic: Lackluster + Tripe =/= Great. It equals mediocre. Learn maths.

Are you seriously trying to compare a Pistol (A wonky one at that) to a Magsec?

And on top of that you guys have 3 sidearms in the game right now....THREE SIDEARMS, The amarr have a total of Three weapons in their inventory, and two of those are variants.

I have a duel Magsec cal assault and it rips through anything. YES EVEN AGAINST A HEAVY WITH AN SMG. idk what people don't like about it.
I do think it should get a slight ROF buff as sometimes an enemy can rep out the damage.

I absolutely love my Magsec when the rounds that are supposed to damage actually to damage my target.
Way too often do I unload a sizeable portion of the clip into a red only to see no damage applied.
In fact, I can only remember damage applying for my magsec in ONE battle over the past 2 weeks. It is beautiful when it does work though.

I love the magsec but i dont really use it as a sidearm, I use it on my AV fits and my sniper fit as kind of my primary weapon because it has better range then other sidearms.
A lot of players say it sucks but I kill with it every day and I think it's PERFECT for the job I use it for.
What sidearm do you all use on your swarm launcher/ plasma cannon/ sniper fits ? |

I'm growing to really like it. But I've learned that it's a much longer range weapon than the standard SMG, so you can't really expect to use it the same way, like I did at first

Not for long, that weapon has an overheat mechanic.
Which is weird. The ion pistol behaves much more like an Amarr weapon that a Gallente one minus the range.
