Its 3 maps now ive seen this, ive just took a few images of a main facility that renders only when your 50m away, any further and the facility becomes some stupid idiot zone, windows gone, entrances gone, redberries hidden in plain site. Why are people quitting so many matches? because you jammed flowers, funky weather effects in maps and packed them with rubbish and now its like agent smith matrix style. i'll upload these as soon as i figure out how because i cant remember stuff like this happening a year back, Riding down roads yet to render. building creating themselves before your very eyes etc. I'm no programmer but im guessing sticking effects in maps and textures to destroy gameplay isn't exactly a job description. I love a hell of a lot of whats made Dust turn round but being unable to target a hostile with a specialist rail rifle at 51metres due to him being masked by rendering is obscene. I see statements like 'images and video helps' well so does actually picking up a joypad and seeing for yourself
People think this is my main but i mainly play as 'Scotty AI MatchMaker' It's no secret.

you know what i'm done. its been great but ive had enough. i'm biomassing, delete game. If i figure out how to upload these i will do but im finding i get more stress than fun now and i doubt games are supposed to be like that. Thanks everyone it actually has been great the most part and i'll hopefully see you Legion side whenever its completed.

You have to treat dust 514 like an illusion to have any fun at it. It's not an authentic representation of what's happening in real time.
For instance, I constantly get shot first, and then the enemy pops into existence 20 meters in front of me. Mind you, this is not a cloaking enemy. He simply failed to render until after I started taking fire from him, even though he was standing in front of me out in the open.
I could get upset and rage quit because it's not fair, or I could swallow the truth pill and say, the game is what it is. Often I will die by circumstances out of my control, but it's still fun enough to play.
The question is, can you overlook the shortcomings of the game and still have fun? |
