Why do I regularly get a crap ton of kills with this thing? I can't even do that with an ELM or Viziam. Viktor's LR seems to be the only thing that comes close to it.
Three complex damage mods with decent proficiency accompanied with a 5%-6% warbarge damage bonus makes this thing borderline OP for reasons that completely escape me.
Best MLT weapon ever! Your thoughts? |

Saying the MLT is better than the ELM or Viziam is exactly why people don't like anecdotal evidence.

I don't use the LR myself but I read a post from someone saying this same thing a couple of months ago.
Something to do with the MLT clip size running out just before overheat?
Do you find it rarely over heating?
I dunno.
I know I like tamales though.

I think that may be the case. The MLT LR doesn't overheat until the magazine is empty. On a level 5 Amarr Assault, I could go through about 75 rounds, reload, reposition my sights over a target after some slight preheating, continue to melt faces, and repeat. |

Mm... tamales.
I love the mlt laser its fun and cost effective. Strap it on either assault for the longevity or commando for a lil oomph. Definitely underused because its situational but you can even close quarters with it if you're in skme chaos.

Nah man. I tried a Viktor's, and I honestly think the damage ramp is worse on it. Imagine if it was the same as a normal LR, NO OH, 20 more rounds in clip, you'd legit melt LAVs and derpships.

I have similar thoughts to the MLT ScR. I think it hits better than the advanced. Not the Viziam though. It feels as though the damage on the ScR has no penalty or negative bonus against armor.
Also, the militia ARR has almost no charge up time. Must be militia bonuses.

It's largely because it doesn't cause feedback with proto amarr assault skills. Elm and viziam are strictly better, but the also require a bit more magazine management so as to not overheat, and if you overheat it's usually overheat -> reload which is more harmful/time consuming than just having the longer reload times on the MLT laser.
A mlt laser is fine if you're terrible at managing your magazine, an elm or viziam is better if you can manage your magazine.
