If I didn't know about the powercore idea, apex would be the obvious choice, with the powercore idea it seems irrelevant, maybe I am just not understanding the value of apex suits correctly, which is why I'm asking. Obviously can get both eventually, but I don't know how long FacWar will stay active, which is my main concern.
You are making a pretty big assumption that this will be implemented any time soon.
1. We are on a skeleton crew of developers.
2. Even with a full crew it would take months and months to rebalance numbers around this idea.
3. The actual mechanics of if / how they want to or can implement this will likely take a couple of months on its own thanks to number 1.
4. There is no way to know how suits will land. See number 3.
5. The team is obviously fully focused on Planetary Conquest so when the process even gets to begin is a big question.
6. Since CCP will not speak about the future of the game we do not even know if it will remain on its current path long enough to see this idea implemented. The possible scenarios are endless.
Basically what it comes down to is like everything else in Dust you can not spend based on speculation. If you want to enjoy Dust only spend money that you will get to enjoy in the next 30 days because beyond that is always a big question.
EDIT:
When I think about it this is exactly why CCP has to be so tight lipped on things. Wild speculation and rumor mongering are more rampant in Dust than any game or software that I have ever seen. This is partly CCP's fault for always being vague on actual things and for not making follow up statements to squash the rampant rumors that get started.
We as the community only make this issue worse by going right along with those situations and even spreading those rumors to people in game that do not bother with the forum meta game.
