Neither side will ever get total victory. Even if they deserve it.
Just until Caldari started pushing back all we have been doing defense missions for the longest of time.

Not going to spell it out again, but if you dig you can find my posts constantly nagging on the old system and suggesting benefits to what ultimately became the current system.
Looking back I feel I wasted time campaigning for this change because overall control means absolutely nothing of meaning.

Once you achieve around 60%-70% control, all of your contracts become defense contracts.
You cannot achieve more than that.

Our perhaps your faction is only good enough to control 60-70%? Keeping in mind your faction is not just the q syncs.
Yes most are defense contracts but not all.

Enough to make it impossible.
I've seen dozens of games where neither side has q-syncs, they pretty much always, always end in Gallente victory, and it's an absolute one.
Unless my mere presence skews the match that drastically, it would mean that Gallente win 80%-90% of non Q-sync matches.
And until recently, Caldari didn't have that strong of a Q-sync presence, while Gallente were maintaining a strong one for months.
Factor all of this, and you can see why we would have at least 80% at this point.
