Reasoning: standard assault variants seem to be accessible for all other weapon types

There was some line of argument that variants were supposed to require more "skill", hence more SP investment to access, but I can't recall if that ever came from the devs or if that was just people on here rationalizing. Some weapons had pro variants removed, too, though (in the case of the Burst ScP, they left us only the advanced?!). All seems a bit random. Surely variant usage would increase if people could try them at standard.
