On one hand, we have highly valuable items that offer massive tangible and permanent benefits that you can fit how you like and are functionally direct upgrades to normal BPOs...
On the other, we have a cosmetic upgrade.
Why do skins cost so much? This goes for AUR, too. The pricing is just weird - what justifies the huge expense? These skins are effectively equivalent to a $30 purchase. That's insane.

Yeah I was thinking the skins would be around 35k LP and 5 mil or something. Why given a choice would you chose a skin over an apex suit, especially considering they can be modified now.

Pretty sure I didn't spend a dime on my Marine SKINs. All they cost me was time with friends, and lots of Mass Driver rounds shot in the direction of pious slavers. |

Capital gains are when the item you buy (stocks for example) increases in value and you sell it off higher than when you bought it (hence capital gains). Capital gains taxes are the taxes applied to the gains you made by selling at a higher price.
ex
You bought Disney stock for $100, 5 years later it is now worth $200 and you sell it off, you had a capital gain of $100. So a Capital gains tax of 15% would take 15% of that 100 leaving you with $85 to keep.
Capital Gains is a tax that targets investors.

thats only one aspect of it.
I over simplified, i didnt include the explanation that any improvements to a business increasing its sale value are also covered.
The LLC i am a partner of wont invest in itself, because then when i buyout the othershare holders in the next year, that 'tax on improvements' has to be paid.
businesses dont change hands near as often with a high capital gains tax, cause eff taxes.
cut the tax, the more business trade and improvements happen.
still over simplified but now it should make more sense.
