I used to hop into games solo, and then try to enter a random squad and help out as a logi, or with scans etc. That's not possible now that you can't look at Team Chat while in battle. My idea to fix this:
- Have the game automatically populate blues into squads. It would be a feature you could toggle OFF if you strictly want to run solo, but if toggled ON you would be automatically organized into a squad.

What would happen to automatically populated squads after the battle?
Are they disbanded? Does that mean you are cut off from the people you were talking to a second ago? What happens to squads that were partially filled before a battle and then topped up during it? Is everyone booted? Or only those that joined mid-game? Does that mean you have to reinvite anyone you picked up during the fight?
Do they persist? Does that mean I can use an alt to collect 5 blueberries in an ambush and then queue them for MFW so they immediately quit so my AFW buddies have an easier time farming LP for those sick Blood Raiders skins?
I think there are good reasons why there isn't any auto-squading in the game yet. If you have a design that makes everyone happy, feel free to post it. |

Squads would persist as normal after a match. I can't see the FW scheme you posted being a huge problem, since it's already possible using the squad finder.
Clearly everyone will never be happy with any suggestion. And remember, as I mentioned above, this would be an optional feature.
