I know I sure as hell would, especially if isk payouts are going to be increased like Rattati is saying.
An event like this would increase FW activity for a specified time every month and wouldn't have to be super complicated or anything.
For people that actively play FW, this would be a great way for them to capitalize on their efforts and dedicate more time to it. For people that are online during the off-hours (like myself), it would be easier to que into a match, and we could actually feel like using boosters would be worth it.
Doesn't need to be one of those events that you get your rewards afterwards, just something where LP payouts are increased a bit.
...assuming it doesn't require an update every time, what do you think?

I have to say no.
Basically my issue with it is that a ton of people would end up just waiting for that payout increase to pay. I would rather not see FW reduced to only being playable 1 week a month.
I hope that we can get some good increase in FW somehow to make it work for people like yourself as well as make search times shorter on off time.

If there was real-time information on the queue... Like, you are #102 out 321 in the Caldari FW Queue! I would say, "Damn, I better queue Gallente instead."
Then show me the counter as it builds the team. I've had to wait 5 minutes, but I don't know if there are 2 other people ready for my team, or 14 and we just need one more.

Considering this has gone to queues in FW, I would like for them to use the PC queue style by simply starting a warbarge team pop in by queue. Then when it gets to 15 or 16 on both sides, it launches. Sitting in my room isn't helping me or anyone else. If I know I need to hunt down and invite in 6 more people while scotty works his way around the circle I will actively make the FW fill and launch it. If I can't make that happen, the fail is on me. This would allow for some ownership of the scotty issues and start the 16v16.

I made a proposal concerning that. If instead of only generating the 'massive' 16v16 skirmish matches if when there was only say 8 or 10 people on each side it generated acquisition matches too.
Might break up some of the queue syncing behaviour, lead to more balanced faction warfare matches and more activity through the whole day, so that people like cat merc who lives in a stupid timezone could get facwar matches when he wanted to play too, instead of only north American prime time.

A "number of people in queue" counter wouldn't fix the negative feedback loop generated by people not finding matches so not playing so they continue to not find matches and not play. matches for smaller playerbases/playergroups is the solution.

Sadly FW starts too "late".
